hi,
what's the appropriate tip for the hostess/girl in a karaoke lounge (no special service, just karaoke & drinking) ? I know this might be subjective (whether one is pleased with service), but would appreciate a range from experienced members. just don't want to either overtip or undertip.

I only got to Karaoke on Suttisahn Road near the Saphan Kwai BTS station, and normally with clients or visitors from S'pore.
They get their cash for drinking with you from the cost of the drinks.
Each hour you spend with them gets charged, so no tip is required, unless she helps you make a selection etc. w/o asking for a drink...very unusual for that to happen though.
Normally just calling one over, or have one sit gets charged right away.
You'll know, because they'll shove a new bill into your tab cub after she sits down.

I agree with Priest. IMO, its just a nice gesture - won't make them rich and won't break your bank. Will definitely make them happy to see you the next time.
