I will arrive in Bangkok early next week. Last time I was in the city was about a year ago. I somewhat know the go go bar scene (Nana, Cowboy, etc) but looking for something different. Maybe something along the lines of a night club with dancing girls and mainly Thai locals. Perhaps Orbits or Carribean or Resort. Any suggestions?

Colisseum Suk 38 - cabaret type show..bit of everything. Good for a laugh if there are a group of you.
Dance Fever/Hollywood are Thai nightclubs which have dancers etc every hour or so. There are people (girls) who are willing to talk to you in these places but it is better if you speak some Thai.
There are a few Thai places off Thonglor which attract a young & trendy set plus RCA.
Now you have a basic start you can look these up on the search function.

If you like to hunt amatures try a few places in Thonglor. Escudo, Booze, Liberty Plaza, Zantika are the some popular places in Thonglor Ekamai areas. Lots of cuties here and lots of them speak good Engish. But not rcommended for older people. Mostly younger crowd in 20s.
Also RCA has renovated into a more up class hangout. Slim and Flix and Route 66 as well are packed with Thai cuties every night.
These places are the best places to hunt for amature and student ladies.

I agree with Hankamazon's reccomendations. These places are even better if you are there with some thai girl or guy friends. That way you don't look like such a vulture.
