i have been to sparks several times, but i never liked it. the music is tecno which is okay with me but far to loud for not getting a headache, to stuffy as the aircon does not really work, it is too much crowded by some "think they are the man" thai chinese guys and it is a bit of the rest of town. so all in all, yes there are a lot of nice chicks as anywhere else in bangkok, but why take all these downers, when you can also go to mos, cm2, narcissus, dancefever, hollywood, la lunar etc.

I would like to provide a positive spin in Sparks!! I always have a great time at that club. I will admit that it does get crowded and at times people can be pushy, but the music and females make up for a few idiots. Last time I was there about 4 months ago, the music was Euro/Top 40/Dance stuff. Sounded just like the kinda of music played at RCA. I would suggest that you get there early to get a good table. I will say that I ran into pushier people at RCA - Route 66 then at Sparks. I also like Narcissus. CM2 was okay. Too small and the females were okay looking. BUT beauty is in the eye of the beholder!! ha ha ha!!
Any club you go to you will have a blast. But, if you want great music and to see some hella' fine females dancin' then go to Club Orbit!! This is bar so picking a female there can be difficult, but if you just want to hang, listen to some music and watch some booty shakin', then Club Orbit is great!!

last time i was in bkk, i stayed at the emerald hotel. i didn't enter the disco during the entire time i was there. would like to visit the next time i'm in bkk. do you know if sparks charge an entrance fee? if so, how much?

They charge this drink thing. Usually I buy a bottle or two or whisky and drink that in the club. If I remember correctly, that is what we paid for cover charge. Sorry I can not be more helpfull. I always go in a pretty large group (8 or more people). So, one of us just pays for everyone.

Usually just buy the bottle "Chivas" JB etc, for around 1600 bt, think the drink card/ bottle is good for 2 months, mixers 50-60bt. I agree with Griffin, - a bit heavy, techno for me, and most of the good sorts there were being kept well in check by obviously wealthy Asian sponsers - if you want a break from the tried and true, without doubt Dance fever is the best in my book.

still the same as said before and i still give it a miss! just come their unfrequently every 3 months but always decide to give it a miss as so many much better options in bangkok around!

Yep, SPARKS is a bit far in Ratchadaa and so does Dance Fever but since I am on hunting purposes I do prefer to give thumbs up to DANCE FEVER.
