Went fishing with John Pearce on the Reel Hooker late September of this year. Chartered the boat myself (with TG Girlfriend for company). Hooked 3 sailfish up to 50KG, 3 Wahoo, 25Kg Black Marlin, several smaller tuna and a barracuda. Overall an incredible day of fishing. Very personable captain and fantastic crew. $500 US for the boat and up to 6 anglers. www.reelhooker-phuket.com. Highly recommended.

We fished on the islands just south of Phuket from 8am to 5pm. Hat Rai and Hat Noi if I remember right. Yes, it was pricy, but the quality of the boat, the equipment and the captain made it worth while. Also, you are not dependent upon it being your turn if you charter the whole boat. Their is also a place right near the Jewelry Exchange at the end of the beach road in Patong called Club Wahoo and they arrange full and split charters. The boats aren't as nice, but the prices are better and one of the girls who works behind the counter is very attractive and will be at the discos later. Might get even a little more mileage out of your trip.

I know this is an old thread, but I will be in Phuket in mid September. I have been talking with Gregory at Phuket Sports fishing and can get a boat for the day for 7,000 Baht. I am only interested in Bill Fish and he said the Sail's usually start mid September so will give it a try. I have tried 5 times for a Bill Fish, twice in Mexico, once in Hawaii, and once in Florida and have not gotten one. Maybe this will be my day

Hi all, I am about to book a day trip /charter on a deep sea fishing trip with a company called "phuket deep sea fishing"
its a thai/canadian run company that looks like a good deal. Or is it ?????
the boat I will book is 15,000 baht for the day, and includes food, drinks and the equipment, and swimming/snorkeling.
the trip goes to Racha Yai, Racha Noi.
is this about right as far as price goes ??? please reply if you have experience in this area.
