Best to ask in advance. Before making the booking. If they really want your buissness they'll let you bring a lady to your room. There's no soapy massage parlours in Kho Samui so really no point in getting a place thats not G/F.

It's not the case if they want your business... the question is if the hotel likes to cater to whoremongers, upscale clientele or (with an additional fee) to a mix.

Just got back from LOS, spent 11 nights in Lamai Beach at Weekender Resort.
This hotel is GF but does cater mainly for families, no dirty looks from Hotel staff but jealous looks from family husbands when you walk through with a TG in tow.
I guess after 6 different ones they new I was a dirty bastard.

In Lamai beach open air beer bars that provide woman for our pleasure outnumber regular bars 3-1. Not to mention the most disco's offer freelancers. Unless you happen to be staying at The Meriot. I can't see them making any fuss. Then again there probrubuly are plenty of Kho San road style flophouses so its better to ask before checking in.

When I was on Koh Samui (stayed on Lamai Beach), a veteran punter told me: "You rent the bungalow. They don't give a shit if you bring in one girl, two girls, or the whole go-go bar. You rent the bungalow".
I stayed at a resort 3km north of the main strip (which catered mainly to young farang couples), but had no problem bringing my girl in so I reckon he was right.

To echo Golden Star's comment...i have always...always recommended bungalows over hotels, especially on Samui...why on earth you would want to be in a hotel on the island is beyond me...! 
I have never had a problem bring girls back to a bungalow...!
Bungalows = girl, girl, girl...friendly...!!!

I think that the Weekender you have booked is a bit further out of town than the Weekender Resort.
Also, I believe that the rates are lower and facilities not so good.
If possible book Weekender Resort, great location and GF, 2 pools but no room safes, right on beach.

Just got back from 9 days on Samui, definately rent a bungalow......stayed at the Coral Bay Resort. Staff ask no questions and you are free to do what you like! Liked the 7ft bed as well.
