Hello !
From most of the posts I have read, it seems that lovely girls are only to be found in Bangkok, and to some extent in Phuket and Pattaya. Is is that hopeless ? Where could beauty-sensitive men go in thailand other than these three places?

Sorry I did not expressed myself clearly. Most of what I read here in the last threads was like "forget Chang Mai, the beautifull northern girls are in bangkok", or "forget Ko Samui, the girls are not beautifull there". So I was wondering where to go except to bangkok, phuket and pattaya.

As they say, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Having been to Koh Samui, I simply can't agree with the negative reviews the place seems to be generating on this board. I stayed on Hat Lamai (this seems to be a better spot for P4P on the island than other places like Hat Chaweng, etc.) for a few days and I have a had a very pleasant experience indeed!
True, Koh Samui doesn't come anywhere close to Bangkok in terms of choice (e.g. soapies, BJ bars, etc.), but there are other advantages. For starters, when I was there (May of 2004), the ratio of girls to punters seemed to be around 10:1. That's a lot of girls to pick from. True, stunners are few and far in between, but lots of cute girls - cute enough for me, anyway.
Then, the prices. Barfines at 200 Baht, a 1/3 of what you'd pay at the NEP. Took a girl LT for a grand total of 1,250 Baht (1,000 Baht for the girl, 200 Baht barfine, 50 Baht for the motobike - my hotel was inconveniently located some 3km north of the main strip so she had to rent out a motobike). The girl was a 6-6.5 in my books, but she was great. And I mean great.
Finally, I liked the alfresco concept of bars. Instead of running from one bar to the next (and being pressured to have a seat and buy drinks when you go inside) a la NEP, the bars here are outside and you can just walk around and screen for the best-looking ladies before you commit yourself to sitting down and buying a drink. Saves a lot of time.
So the upshot of all this is that, while you probably won't find supermodels around here, there is a fair number of sweet ladies who will give you the time of your life - for a fraction of the price you'd pay in Bangkok.

Golden star has summed it (Ko Samui) up perfectly. I'm not what you'd call an easy judge when it comes to rating girls, & they really have to earn their points, but when I was there in April 2005, I can tell you there was some stunners, yes, 8 - 9's. By size comparison, its obvious it will not compare to BKK & Pattaya, but I'm surprised at the people who have been disappointed at the talent in KS. Its a great place to enjoy the fruits of TG, at a good discount rate of 50%.
Definitely be back there.

You will find extremely cute and attractive girls nearly everywhere you can go in Thailand - they are, literally, everywhere.
Sure, large cities will have the largest concentration (for obvious reasons), but if you read around the forum, it's actually better to venture out a little further around - towards the outskirts, and a bit outside.
The one thing I do know, there is no shortage.

Agree with the Duck. Go to the outskirts. Some big beer gardens/bars/discos in Nonthaburi, Thonburi, Minburi, virtually every suburb of Bangkok. Packed with cracking looking girls. You will be a novelty and they will be all over you.
Alternatively ANY major city (Korat, Khon Kaen, Buri Ram, Surin, Chantaburi) will have at least one "In" place where the same applies.
How do you find these places? Ask a taxi driver.

Ftumch, can you (or others) elaborate on this some more. This is the kind of information I look for on here, but it is far and few between. Since I don't live in thailand I have trouble finding those out of the way spots and is my time too short to go on wild goose (girl) chases.
So can you put some names and streets to the "in Nonthaburi, Thonburi, Minburi, virtually every suburb of Bangkok" you mentioned.
I'm not the type of tourist that runs straight from the plane to NEP. Been there done that. I like to see new things, meet the girls in a bit more natural environment. But that is not so easy when you have only 3 weeks or so per trip. You need to have a goal in such a short space of time. There is no time to camp in the country side and start exploring for things that maybe not there.
