very good point Pete, but this is my POA (plan of attack). The Blue Marlin is a good starting point - It is where you have the more better looking girls and yeah they start off with their 100 dollars per hour bullsh*t but I have always gotten them down to like $40 - $50. Now there are other bars such as the Park Hotel and Idem. Idem is good in that you go in order a drink sit and enjoy the drink while you can look across and choose who will join you. THen you pay and take her upstairs and take care of business. There are other bars similar to Idem - but quality tails off.
Here is where the more adventurous monger in me comes out - I'm young - 30 years old and I used that to my advantage. In general Latinas love Americans and Europeans. Do this, go to the malls, El Pueblo (the clubs) and pick up locals, yeah it is more work but you will be greatfully rewarded as these girls are very pretty, total girlfriend (novia) to you and they don't charge $$$$. For example, I went dancing in El Pueblo and picked up a girl whom I bedded that night and I knew she was a semi-pro but she never asked for money - I gave her $40 dollars the next day just cause I thought she deserved it - that is 12 hours and 3 pops - not bad. Costa Rica is a fun place but you must be willing to get out of the gulch and try new places. I'll be there in mid December - if anyone is there at that time - PM me and we can meet for an Imperial.

The answer is YES, you can take out a massage parlour girl to your room. There is a trick to it. Most these girls work from 10 am to 9 pm so you have to wait till they are off the clock. Still it is good to make sure you have a connection as their attitude may change when outside of this environment. The way you do it is to ask them privately - do not ask the manager. Also get her cell # so you can contact her later.
I met a girl in New Fantasy outside the massage parlor environment. She met me at my hotel, we had a bite to eat at the News cafe and great sexo - total she stayed with me for like 3 hours and never asked for money - I gave her like $40 dollars (equivalent to 1 session at the New Fantasy) and she was overjoyed.
Costa Rica is really a fantasty land. You really can do whatever you want. As far as taking the girls to the beach - they are definitely game for that. Remember that most of these girls have never even left San Jose and for them to get out to the beach is a treat and even staying at your hotel room is better than their living conditions.
Now a precaution for taking girls out. First it is good to see if you guys have any chemistry. Try her for an hour. If you like her and she likes you than it is all good. Imagine paying her for a trip and you both end up not talking or just not getting along - that would be a waste. Basically take her for a test drive before you invest the time and money for a longer trip.
Another important thing to remember is communication. If you speak Spanish your trip will be more enjoyable, if you don't or are limited (as I am) it is good to find a good girl. For example, I got this girl who was with me from 7 pm till 9 am the next day - did not speak a lick of English and yet she constantly tried to communicate with me. I really liked this girl's attitude and although communication was limited we had a great time.

Thanks for the excellent info Maverick. Have you ever tried 2 girls for a session or for a trip? In Thailand I usually book 2 girls so when we are not making love, they can chat with each other. It works and it is a good way to mix pleasure and...down time! Would it be acceptable in Costa Rica to have 2 girlswith you or is it not accepted in in general.

At New Fantasy having a 2 girl session is fine - I have not done one yet but now you are tempting me. In New Fantasy if you pick a girl and want a 2 girl session ask the girl you pick to pick the other girl as your session will be better if they both like each other. Don't feel shy to ask Arianna, the manager for her recommendations. Now let's say you are taking a girl out for the beach and you want 2 girls. There may be some obstacles to overcome. If you pick a girl and suggest she have another girl come - 3 things may happen, 1. the girl will be her friend/sister who she will not feel comfortable phucking you (costa rica women are very jealous) they consider you their novio (boyfriend) if you would take them on this trip. 2. The girl you pick is not bi-sexual and won't give you a girl/girl/guy session. 3. The 2 girls you pick are nymphos who want to phuck your brains out. Yes I would prefer the 3rd scenario but not always guaranteed. My suggestion to you is if you have 4 or 5 days or more in Costa Rica. First day - phuck girls and find out who you have a connection with, make sure you get their phone number. The one you have the best time with call her up and take her on the trip, if you can communicate decently with them you won't need the second girl. Latin women are very attentive, one of my novias even feeds me my dinner and lays out my clothes after my shower. So they are very attentive. Wouldn't hurt for you to take some gifts like perfumes and underwear - they love that. Let me know if you have further questions.

Don't know when you or your friend are planning on your CR trips, I've been there many times over the last couple of years and will return at the end of Jan. Depending on circumstances I might go to BKK/PNP the next month.
The two websites mentioned, CRT & DG are excellent, I read them almost daily and post regularly.
One of the posters mentioned the Park Hotel. They used to have some real beauties at night, now it's hit or miss. During the day time and mainly during the work week there will always be a few hot ones at the bar. Agine this can be hit or miss. I've had a few days that were poor hunting, other absolutely great. There is a lady there almost every week day, Anna who isn't the prettiest but she is sweet and performs above what most expect for the price. Anna is not ugly by any means just not as hot as some. My friend Ace sees her during each of his trips and I'll see her once this coming trip.
I don't shop at the Blue Marlin/Del Ray or Key Largo because the prices are too high and many of the girls are hard core quickie specialiasts. But there are others there who are very nice.
On the CRT board the MP sections lists a few new places and there are a couple of topic on the General Info section about Wanda. Wanda is opening a new place which should be very good.
As previously mentioned there are many different types of Latino ladies, east Europeans and I've seen one Asian.
I prefer the local girls (Ticas) because as a rule of thumb they are much nicer, sweeter and more GFE than the others. I did meet on Columbian girl one night who was as pretty as pretty can be pretty. A World Class Beauty ! Blond hair, a 10 body, great legs and a face to die for, but under the thin vaneer lurked a witch of a bitch. A money grubbing snotty bad attitude hard core ho. My friend who was talking to her took her drink away after a few minutes and bid her fairwell. Two minutes later some drunk took up upstairs, she was back in 15 minutes with $150 and the drunk was still stumbling around looking for his next misadventure.
Most of the BM/KL girls can be had for $60, much below that it's going to be some hard negotiating and you might get less than a good performance.
In CR the three rules of mongering need to be followed.
1. Always agree ahead of time on what you want and expect.
2. Never pay up front.
3. Remember the first two rules.
I prefer the Hotel Presidente but they only allow you one guest at a time. CRT is a free board like this one, if you join the Prez will give you a nice reduced price. The Del Ray has a $10 fee for each girl and the rooms are not nearly as good as the Pres. Hotel Morazon is ok and if you talk with the day manager you can get a discount. Morazon does not limit number of girls nor charge extra from them.
One last thing, SJO is around 4K feet in altitude so the weather is never very hot nor cold. They do have some great rain storms, just like SEA. The altitude will effect you when you're drinking, do be aware of your level of intoxication.
