A lot of the Africans are indeed aggressive marketers and often don't have the 'professionalism' the Chinese seem to be blessed with (ie they seem to get annoyed with rejection) but there are always pleasant exceptions to the rule.

Certainly true that the a-lists are doing 2 per night, although I'd be hesitant to use the term "most girls". I'd say the b-lists are content with 1 good LT. But maybe with the conventions in town, all are doing that well. Have to make a recce myself to Cyclone, although their entrance price of almost $25 USD, with NO drinks included, is getting a bit much.
Can confirm the geographic divide; chinese to the left, CIS to the right. We'll see about the directly solicit... I know some of the chinese a-lists were happy to adopt a "stand and smile" CIS attitude, but for all? Perhaps some of the ladies were becoming too agressive?
My a-list contact has told me that it's a "bad business" night if she only gets pulled once; she never doesn't get pulled. And she's honest when she says, "we say 2 hours, but figure maybe an hour to get the job done". They say hours, but count shots. Let's just say they're NOT sticking around for some cuddling and GFE; it's back to the office. I know I tease one by asking her when is she going to be willing to work hard so I can pull her, as this 1 shot crap is not enough for me. She smiles, then seriously says, "too much work". Depending on your accomodation location, a lot are willing to use their place (usually shared with 1 or 2 girls) ; it's close, and limits down time due to travel.
Price is about right for an a-list, but last time I pulled, a b-list, was 600 for LT, multiple shots. Was angling for 500, but she pulled the weekend surcharge spiel; she was nice enough she did get away with it.

Cyclone, A-list, shots vs. hours.
Personally, if I have gone through the pain of paying up front for the Cyclone, scanned and bustled through the sea of humanity while being blasted by music not quite to my tastes, pulled someone compelling (this is the Cyclone, I do not go there for "average") Then navigated the taxi / walk of shame to my hotel room; She is going to be there for a while.
If she wants to bail early-morning (like 8 or so) that is fine with me, but I pull from Cyclone to revel in something special for a while.
Now, a York type girl, or a pre-planned in-call (indeed, I tend to schedule these types for a couple hours in the early evening precisely so as to not mess up her office hours) is usually more than welcome to head back for more after a chat and a shot. Cyclone with all the overhead, no.

A sunday nooner after a long time. Had some time to kill before heading home for lunch and it had been a while since I met with Leila so gave her a call. After about a dozen rings she picked the phone and mumbled something which, I can only presume, was a hoarse "hello" Having presumed it was a greeting I plunged in. The girl was totally out of it but very pleasant abut the intrusion, I suspect the dream was pleasant (probably dreaming about me. Just kidding) and she wanted to get back to it. So I wished her goodnight (it was past 1 pm in the afternoon) and cut the line before she got cranky.
Wouldn't do to get her upset would it? Anyway now I was at loose ends. Debated on the merits of calling Leila's kid sister but perhaps she was busy dreaming of me too? So gave that idea up. Then called E since I was in the locality anyways. Another sleepy lady. What is with these ladies? Anyway she was wide awake the moment she realised it was I. "My darling. Sweetheart. Where have you been for so long."
She asked me if I wanted to come over. I said sure. Is L there? Nope. L is out and not yet returned from her all nighter. Oh well. She promised me someone just as good.
Well I was in the vicinity and the mood was there so there I was so to say.
In came a lovely young lady, draped in a towel with her hair dripping water. Dirty blonde hair, nice slim figure and a cute smile. She wasn't wearing anything under the towel so the rack had to be genuine. Not a big rack but a nice one nonetheless. I helped her dry her hair, for which she gave me a couple of kisses.

Agree with you 100%. Best thing about the music is it is not blasting, at least if you position yourself correctly. Can actually carry on a conversation only semi-shouting. Cyclone does have a high overhead (entrance fee with no drinks, high drink prices, and top charges in the entertainment arena), so, like you, I expect to be able to average those costs out over a number of hours, not just 1 or 2.

One thing about Dubai; ALWAYS interesting. This afternoon, had to be downtown. UGH. Traffic brutal. But, after taking care of business, decided to take care of some business, so called my semi-regular ST. She was available, so swung by, picked her up, and off we went.
As no food in the house, decided to drop her back at her place, then hit a food court for dinner. Afterwards, with nothing to do, stuck my head into Jockey's around 9, looking for either of the "Puss n Boots".
Of course, didn't see either. Place was fairly crowded with guys watching the football match. But who I did see... a CIS (not a typo) regular of mine from about a year ago. She had slowly dropped out of my regular rotation; last I talked with her, she was soon heading home. Now, obviously back. Looking very good too; casual nice.
But that's the one thing I dislike about Jockeys. She was definitely attached to a guy; no mistaking that. But, in Jockeys, it's hard to tell:A legit, permanent boy friend/sponsor, all out with the gang for drinks/football?Or the temporary BF for an evening/evenings?I certainly don't want to step on any toes by misreading the situation. Most are Working Girls; the question is, is she working tonight? And she is class; when she is with you, she is with you; no one else.
Of course, the other variable is, I thought we parted on friendly terms; she might view that differently.
So will have to put Jockeys on the regular rotation to check it out. Couple of attractive chinese in there tonight, and a few "worth pulling" CIS.
As I was in the area, also stuck my head into Imperial Suites, just before 10. I thought I had made it for Happy Hour (is there one?), but charge for a drink was rather high, so perhaps the waitress's watch was fast, or they no longer have discounted drinks before 10 (ala York).
Booked a chinese for the weekend; 5 or 6 other attractive ones around. rating 6+ at best, but, in one way or another, attractive to me. Remember, this is NOT Cyclone, not even York. But, I've always maintained, you can find some gems in there if you're lucky. Also bumped into a beauty from last year (service average, but those looks....) ; now marred by several piercings (NOT sexy to me, but maybe for some).
Also saw a couple very nice Aberbijani's (spelling) ?, or maybe Turks. Not sure. Couldn't hook up with one strolling around in white with white platform boots; nice rack. Before I had a chance, she made some small talk with a guy, deal was done, and off they went. Obviously ST; he had his hand stamped to return (NOT my style; if I pull, I expect to be drained of all energy/interest for the rest of the evening).
But anyway, even early on a Sunday night, several around for a variety of tastes.
And that's the trouble with Dubai, at least for me; anywhere I go, I can find someone of interest (to me). Hard to fit someone new into the rotation.

A bit too weird?
Saturday night I ventured into Jockeys, Miss puss in boots (Minus boots) practically launched her self at me - "you'r back, why you no call". Now I suspect this was partly to get away from a guy who was moving in on her she didn't like the look of. Had to explain I was still in a non GF hotel and couldn't take her at the moment.
Today I phoned all the GF hotels in a reasonable price range to see if a room was available this week end - drew a blank. This is a itch that need scratching!
As I will off again for a few weeks after the weekend it won't get scratched soon so tonight I went hunting. I wanted a change from Chinese. I saw a girl in the York who I first thought to be Russian smiling at me, I went over an it turns out she's a Turk. My elementary Turkish broke the ice a bit and ST at her place was agreed.
Back at her palace I was introduced to her "mother" how weird can you get! I try not to let it spook me.
A good session, not menu items but for me going through a list is not the main thing and it was a very enjoyable session, no starfish here and she seemed to enjoy her self dispite mum being in the next room.
I retrospect maybe mum was madam (or both?)

Personally, if I were to take every number of ladies you describe as being "very good" I could never work through them! Your supreme value (excepting the excellent company and conversation of course!) is that wherever you are, you can point out a decent provider, tried and tested.

Yet another reason I like hotel rooms, I really dislike little "surprises" like a Mother or Madam, or roomies, or other punters etc.
Once, I had a girl put me on the phone with her sister (we spoke a mutual third language) who asked me all sorts of questions (ex. Where did you meet little sis?) and I am hemming an hawing about a little shop blah blah blah. Turns out big Sis thought she was working in a restaurant! Surprises, no thanks!

This is my eternal debate, I like to clear what is on the menu, but without exception, the best experiences were not laid out in advance. Mood killing? Illusion killing? Pressure? I do not know. In only about 8% of case where I did not lay out the complete menu was I left feeling less than satisfied.
I had been with L about five times before I found out she does not CIM! I never missed it! Bravo knows of a Chinese lady I really am fond of who, as far as I know may not even do oral! Again, it just did not crop up, nor did I feel I had missed anything. Attitude is king in my book.

Sporadic/JSF: agree with you 100%. Attitude is all important. A 6 with good attitude trumps an 8 with attitude. I think a lot of beginner mistakes can be traced back to being mesmerized by her looks and not taking time with the attitude.
For me, there IS something physical about her that draws my interest. For the a-lists, that's easy. It's the whole package. That's why she's an a-list. But for the b-lists, maybe it's:- her face
- rack, although this can be misleading. Real, injected, artificially enhanced, or good engineering?
- Tall (with the long legs), or not tall
- outfit, though this can be VERY misleading. After all, it is coming off during the evening. I've seen a 7+ shrink to a 5 (and then you wonder, can I really ask her to put the boots/miniskirt/whatever BACK ON?)
- Sometimes, just attitude to begin with: dancing around, a sharp remark, etc.
Whatever, there is an initial attraction that raises her above the current mass. NOW, it's time to assess the attitude. And that's why I like the bars; plenty of time and opportunity to check that out BEFORE leaving with her.
Now, I've certainly broken that rule, being blinded myself by whatever physical something about her. Sometimes, I've been pleasantly surprised. But more often than not, it's been an average to sub-par actual experience. But, it's only 1 night, some money, and, after all, you can now say "Been there, done that." And sometimes, you get a chance at one of those perverse self-pleasures, when, the next time you're at her office, she comes over, thinking "Here's that easy mark; got you again", and you have the pleasure of fully seeing her, and can politely say, "No thank you", thinking to yourself, "What WAS I thinking?".
And certainly, I've been fooled by the office good attitude; at home attitude, but those are rare. Most often, a fun attitude in the bar WILL be carried home for the private entertainment. That's why I don't get upset if I'm invisible to her; plenty more around. And, as mentioned, the importance of THIS menu item or THAT menu item shrinks in importance when attitude is factored in.
Take the time and choose wisely. The last lifeboat is NOT leaving.

I certainly agree on this one, and most of the other points in the post.
I like the bars and the wide choice available. I like to take the time to see if there is some chemestry and judging by porportion of sucessful encounters I seem to judge it reasonably well.
Quite often I have had girls who I may have not considered at first sight become really appealing because of their attititude. After a few minuits chatting the go from a 5 to a 8.
I certainly cannot imagine calling a number and getting a girl I have never talked to, "sent around"

I can relate to this, the outfit is good marketing! - Often I don't want them to undress TOO quickly.
The face is probably the most important thing for me. A great body with an ugly face is unlikley to appeal. A good face and a poor body can still be attractive
The best time for me is where the girl seems to enjoy it too and there is at least an impression fo a shared experience (A suspension of disbelief??) - I would say there are physical starfishes and there are "emotional" starfishes.
