Reflecting on FM's observation,
I have to agree that AsianFriendfinder is not the best source for women of any sort. They are part of a dating spam ring that has brought out many of the legit dating sites.

If you desire to find a Chinese wife and do not have the advantage that FM and I have in that we travel in Chinese social circles, I would suggest a HK company called ChinLove. The girls on this site pay for their memberships and it is a matchmaking service, not a "dating" service.

Mine is a party member and serves on the local committee for Nanning. Her father is a retired PRC General who, as he tells it, fought beside Mao after the Japanese left China. Whilst she and her parents live in Nanning now, most of the family is from Beijing.
As it is with senior (her father) party members, the family has extra privliges, get to travel overseas, and genneraly have a better life then the common Chinese person.
