Mosquito... you're sounding like cost is not a big object. If you're going to be in Phuket anyway, you might think about nipping up to Ranong (Victoria Point) for your gambling licks. The drive would not be any worse than from Bangkok to Aran. A "day trip" would be pretty rushed but there are several decent hotels in the area.

Not much money here, just thinking about convience.
I like to gamble. Staying in Bangkok for 2-3 days before heading to Pattaya, then Udon Thanee.
How would I get to Cambodia (casino) from Bangkok, maybe a 1 1/2 day stay there. Easiest way, I figured 1 taxi ride there and 1 taxi ride back, no hopping trains and alternate means of transportation.

Could anyone give me the details on where to go (and the company's name) or where to call for that all inclusive organized day trip to Poipet?
I have a desperate friend who needs to do the v-run soon and I want to help him. Somehow he is too stupid to get the info himself. And I need to spoon feed it to him. I want to put him in a fool's proof packaged thing. f I give him DrLove's well detailed plan, I fear he will get lost (yes, my friend is selectively stupid).

You can take the train to aranyaprathet or you just rent a car and go there by yourself. It's not so far away with the new road financed by UN.
Less than 2 hours to get there.
There is also one hotel in Aranya but better stay in hotels on cambodia side. Most of casinos have rooms.
