Like someone said here at the start, there will be the nay sayers. So let me nay : JSF was in Mumbai since January 3 and it took him until March 25 to have his FIRST ? Despite all help from friends and well wishers. Unless you are well connected with the network (which brings its own big risks) you don't stand much of a chance. Probably the more feasible thing to do is to take any of the 3 star or 2 star hotels around the airport in Mumbai and be content with what you get there.

In fact a couple of weeks after thsoe numbers were plastered on the forum there were reports from others, who called those numbers regardless, brave souls, that the numbers had been changed in some cases and in others they got some aggressive males on the line who, perhaps were baing hassled by the lurkers, wannabes, kids,etc on the forum, and had lost their sense of humour at the situation. phew. that is a very long sentence. wonder if it makes any sense.
Be that as it may. I still maintain that mongering is possible in india if you are discreet. And how do we know you are discreet? From your posts ofcourse or the lack of posts.
I would never ever pass contacts to anyone who very flippantly posts those same contact on the forum.
We have a great pm function on the forum. why not use it to pass contacts?

It still only reaffirms that Mumbai is no place for the free denizens. Why waste time here, is what I mean. When you are in Mumbai you do your work, stick to the straight and narrow path and come out with flying colours, make your money and catch the next flight to Dubai or Bangkok. All this business of getting contacts and numbers only strengthens the argument that you cannot prowl freely here. This largest democracy on earth, if you please.
Nonetheless I very much enjoyed reading your story on Mira Road and that hungry thirsty animal that YOU snared. Lucky man.

The whole idea of this BTF forum is to pass on information about fun and frolic. It includes passing on contacts and information. When someone can discuss about a Lolittas or a Eden Club, why not a particular girl, or a set of contacts? It helps Bros when they are in a new place to have some good outing. No offence taken.

Thanks for your response. As I said, no offence was meant to anyone in particular. While I do agree that this is a P4P site and that information will be shared, what I find distasteful is the relentless advertising of one's ability to provide numbers.
It is one thing to share when asked but I think it is quite another to keep repeating an offer to provide when none asked. I would venture to argue that, in this instance, when a discussion about lack of P4P in India is on, it is enough for a bro to say that he got along only with the help of numbers provided by friends. Other punters interested in tripping over might then PM him to ask if he could share those numbers, and it takes off from there between the involved gents.
In an extremely difficult terrain, such as India, the posts here provide sufficient evidence that punting is almost non-existent, at least for the itinerant visitor. The posts here make it amply clear that you need contacts so intending visitors know they could ask you. Maybe you also go another step forward and indicate that you could provide help since it is a difficult territory. Maybe reading that offer in every other post led me to think like I did....

Each person has different attitude about these things.
Some people offer help openly. Some like me say they can help but wait for PMs from Bros to give response. Some even go to the dangerous extent of giving contacts in their postings itself, sometimes landing the contacts in trouble for no fault of theirs.
As you explained, India is a difficult territory and Bros are sure to get ripped off or land in dangerous situations without proper guidance.
We should not assume over eagerness of a person as advertisement and take them to task.
In situations like having good contacts in places like India, you tend to feel elated and try to share information with eager Bros. Don't blame them for their eagerness. Please note we are discussing India and not Thailand. Naturally people will tend to be eager about sharing their booty.
My feeling is, as for as India is concerned, the more the information shared the better. This I am saying sitting in India. So you can imagine. Let us not discourage people from sharing information.
