Let me straighten things out here, I'm not normally one to get involved in these online discussions,debates arguments or whatever you want to call them. I've been dragged into this by making a cynical comment earlier that was blown out of proportion.
I am not preaching morality and would never do so,I just didn't like the assumption made earlier that I was frequenting the sort of place described.
I have been working in Asia for 10 years and I would be a hypocrite if I was to preach to punters, I admit to having been one myself quite a lot in the past and the odd time in the present. But you cannot compare the Bar scene in Bangkok with that of some up country rural brothel. There is a world of difference, albeit the business is the same,prostitution. The bargirls in BKK get to go out for drinks,go to Discotheques,restaurants etc. and most importantly,get to chose who they go with. This is not the same in the type of place described earlier in the thread,and anyone who thinks there is no difference is either very naive or too far gone down that road.
This has nothing to do with morals, of which I have very few! It's more to do with my personal values and the way I want to treat people.
And as for breaking my employers trust, all my online activities are monitored the same as everyone else who works with me. Certain sites are banned, this is not one of them. I've never hidden the fact I browse the site and have done so for the four years I've worked here. I usually do it during breaks or when working late (as now) no harm done,no trust broken.
Ok Chaps this is my last word on this matter.

Koolbreez in no way mistreated anyone, which is your implication. You are also implying that his personal values are less than your own, and yet you still are a pussy buyer. Different territory, same dispicable occupation.
You also assume BKK BGs are freely chosing you based on some positive feature you possess? Money is the only reason they have entered a chosing position in the first place, you naive piece of ethical s--- .
And if you are working while you are surfing this fine forum...guess what...you aint working!
It seems you use the same double standard with your employers that you use with hookers and perhaps with the members of this forum.

For your information Baskboy many of the brothels and whorehouses in BKK have girls that were sold by their families to pay off a debt.
Admittedly not in the non-Asian areas but for the Asians it is fair game. In fact, thinking about it, how do you know that that sweetie you held on your knee was not working off a family debt so they would not lose the farm?
At least from an American's point of view there is no difference between indentured servitude and slavery.

Seems like a guy cannot win for loosing.
On another thread RodneyAnsellEsq is getting stomped for taking the piss about some ex-Baron broad who was sold as a sex slave into Singapore. Now in this thread Baskoy is getting stomped for implying that there is a difference between some upcountry brothel in Burma (where he feels girls are probably working basically as sex slaves), and shagging some bird from Nana or Cowboy.
So can someone please splane to me is Rodney right or is Baskoy right – or are we all simply in the wrong?

RodneyAnsellEsq was too quick with his comments which followed a serious post about a KNOWN misfortune.
He was badmouthing a girl.
Baskoy was to quick with his comments implying a scam and then just got caught up in a verbal fishng net by trying to suggest he was not really the same kind of fish as the rest of us. Ethically pure, especialy at work,was the claim.
He was badmouthing......well........himself in the end.
Both are wrong......the rest of us are just so completely right it's beyond belief.

I dunno about Star but there is a range of beers brewed in China both local and international. I have had Carlsburg, Heinkein, and Budwiser served me there.
However when I was in Nanning my hosts brought out the best beer they had in honor of my visit. It is called Lan Dai or 'Blue Tie'.
Yep, one of Southern China's finest beers -- Pabst Blue Ribbon...
