Please explain to me, then, what is the reason for Muslims from North Africa or the Middle East in Germany, England, Switzerland, the USA, Netherlands, etc... You somehow skimmed over that question, as well as answering where the riots in those countries are.
The last Race riots in the UK were on the 22/23 october this year in Birmingham.

I keep reading about riots, but not much is really being said over the WHY of why these people are burning cars, thrashing stores, etc...
I heard through the grapevine that it's just a publicity stunt orchestrated by Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister. The whole thing with the kids getting wasted by the cops is only a front used to get people so up in arms that they say to themselves "We're Not Gonna Take It" and decide to take it to the man.
Dee Snyder, shrewed businessman that he is, has secretly placed cameramen in different parts of the area where the big "hissy" is going on.
Footage shot from the riots will be used for a music video for the updated Twisted Sister version of "We're Not Gonna Take It" which was released a few months ago.
Think about it....it makes sense!

Technically, they *DID* it on their own soil - the atolls in French Polynesia they were conducting a series of nuclear tests on, were French possessions (hence, the 'French' in 'French Polynesia') -- unlike the Australians, I guess, which willingly let the British conduct nuclear weapons testing on their own soil?
So, please, barrafish, explain to me why you find it objectionable to critique the French about testing nuclear weapons on their own territory, yet apparently you have no issues (at least not enough to warrant a comment) with your own country loaning out your own soil, to test the same nuclear weapons? Would it have been better if the French had done the same and rented out space from Australia to blow up their bombs?

Polynesia still a long way from France. It may be their's but it is still in my backyard, closer to Australia than France. The Pom's did their testing in the 50's when they still knew so little about the new marvel weapon.
The frogs had this technology before they let loose in Polynesia, so why disrupt the environment again.
And I suppose I just dont like frogs.

Well, I guess that's really what it comes down to, now doesn't it?
...and it doesn't matter if it was the 50s, it was not just on your own soil, but it was your own soil willingly giving away by your own gov't to the British... a hell of a lot closer than French Polynesia... :-P

Reading through this I am in complete agreement with the Urine man..
This is not a Field Report as none of the members attended the riot. At best this should have been in the Members Lounge as it started as a statement by AP that he was OK and out of danger.
However as this has degenterated into a political discussion it probably belongs in the 'Z' Forum (In fact it is being discussed --> http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/zforum/topic.cgi?forum=1&topic=181&start=0 ).
You know folks, we in the 'Z' Forum do not bite, most of the time...

Interesting thread, and actually CS I wondered quite a bit were to start it... didn't think about the Z forum as not familiar with it.

What are you up to insisting on middle eastern immigrants from former french colonies causing problems??? Who are you talking about?? Be sure they're not lebanese, lebanese form quite a poweful diaspora all over the world, and in France you'll mostly find maronites, the christian lebanese, and they're usually spending their time setting up succesful businesses rather then burning cars. The only other tiny minority living in such despair might be the jewish. You're totally missing the plot it seems here. Notice as well that the muslim lebanese seem to be running a big part of Africa. Impressive culture!
Again, we don't have much troubles with former french colonies from middle east, and it seems a huge majority of people burning cars these days are from african ascent, black or arab. Not that I doubt there are a few white suburban trash in lot.
Another important event you guys might have missed this year is a high school protest against education reforms in Paris when suburban kids from again north african and black descent attacked the kids marching in several dozen consecutive events. Kicked the ass of many of them, stole their belongings and spouted anti white remarks, untill the march had to be stopped.Quite a scandal, and the fracture in France is getting ever sharper.

Totally support you there, but FIB is right that the political situation in France is not best to get sharp and consensual moves from the government. Plus there was indeed two deaths that trigered the riots, so difficult to see how many you'd need to kill before calming the others. Not that I'm afraid to many might be wacked...
Anyway I'm reading more and more about those riots and surprised how it's picking up. Seems to be a nationwide issue now. Doesn't look so good...

So. Riots have spread to 300 towns now. Churches (!) have been set on fire. There has already been one fatality (a man beaten to death by the goons).
This is only going to get worse. No matter what the government does at this point, the genie is out of the bottle, so they might as well open fire.

I do believe, at this point, they will -- as previously pointed out, it's a tricky political situation for those in charge, mostly because of the political opposition. Yet, now that it risks of WAY getting out of control, and good French citizens are being killed by Algerian goons, it would appear that soon more decisive action will be encouraged by all parties (i.e. major counter-violence, and then that will be the end of it - but we haven't seen the worst yet)
