Ok Gents, It is Survey time again.
After an off forum chat with JSF, I am curious what are your findings on the "need money" excuses you have heard from providers.
It would appear that I am not alone in being nice, and not alone in having ladies construe this to mean I am a complete rube.
Always worth a laugh...
1. I need 2000 dhs. for my visa, tomorrow.
2. Mama is sick, need hospital, cost $5000
3. I need 1000Dhs for my rent due tomorrow. (this one I like as rents are annual in DXB)
Come on gents, anything from I need a boob job to I need 100dhs for taxi! letīs hear em!

Sorry, while this might be just an excuse, it is plausible.
Yes, annual for the leaser, but not for the sub-leaser. A number of girls do pay monthly rent. Works for them as they're not commited to a lease that they might not be around for, especially on that 3 month visitor's visa. Any number of agents offering these sub-leases; that P4P money does spread around.
Having said that, my most outrageous one was an actual cashier I'd always exchanged a few words with while checking out at a store I shop at weekly. Just innocent chit-chat as she's ringing up the goods.
One week, she asks for my mobile number. I'm a bit surprised, but I give it to her (why, no idea). Couple of missed calls from a number I don't recognize. Then, 1 night, I do pick up, it's the cashier. After some very awkward conversation of her asking me how I am, what I'm doing ("ah, fine. Nothing"), this repeated 5 or 6 times, I finally say I have to go. Before she hangs up, she hits me with:
"Can you help me?"
I don't know, what do you need.
"I have a problem. Can you loan me 2000 dhs?"
Ah, sorry, I can't.
"OH. Bye"
No idea what for, or where she was coming from. From a P4P, I might have expected. But from a cashier...

Bravo, the rent requests seem to come after they have established (in their own mind) that I am a softie. (Ahem, no comments please gents...) this is well after I have established that I hate every bone in their body, except mine 
In the bars, I am no pushover. I do not suffer silly prices or requests, but after a good session, and we know each other a little, I have been known to offer a phone card or two (the perfect tip, the boss canīt take it, and they can call home without blowing the budget.)
After these kinds of moments, you can see the wheels turning, and some actually have the stones to try some soft soap.
The good ones shrug it off when I give them the "WTF?" look, a few will play the "shame on me, I am sorry" game.
All in all, very entertaining. I guess my innocent looks do not betray my mongering experience. He he he. All the better.

She then followed me across the place, busting my chops with social activism babble, saying it was unfair that I had money, and choose not to give some to her!
I really did not expect an impromptu lecture on the evils of globalisation from a migrant sex worker, but there you have it!

Been there a couple of times, seems like this girl was more eloquent by the sound of it but I have received tirades in the York from ladies from that part of the world when I have turned them down - you have lots of money, you can afford it etc. And this was not a price issue as I probably only said I was there for a beer etc.
I recently visited a lovely Chinese lady I had been with a few times before. She told me she was going home tomorrow as her mother was ill. I thought here it comes but it was all very much a statement of fact. I did tip her a modest amout, but that was for excellent service, and I left with cans of beer and some Chinese tea she no longer had use for.

I had a similar incident with my chinese regular. I had stopped seeing her after eight months of following her to different rooms during daytime. Mind you the walks of shame on those occasions would put to shame any walks of shame you guys have endured. Well one fine day, about 3 months after I stopped seeing her as the walk of shame was getting on my nerves, I got a call asking me to come to the usual spot. I refused. But finally, after a lot of pleading, I went. I was told that the WG was going back home and wanted to see me for this one last time. I mentally checked how much I had in my wallet as I thought this was going to be a plea for donation of some kind. How wrong I was. I got an open invitation to come stay at her place in china, all expenses paid, whenever I wished. And, to top it all, that day's session was free.
Strange things do happen.
