He was very much respected and loved here.
He was American but beat red hot Aussie tipsters
at rugby league at times where he joined us over ten years.
A considered good sport.

Thanks for sharing DG. He has not posted in a year which was unusual.

I never met EPC in person but he was always affable on the board. He was very supportive of others posts(well except for Daffy) and is someone we will miss. May he rest in peace.

It just doesn't seem possible that EPC could have passed away. He was always here, and it felt like he always would be. Here, on this forum, the cranky old guy whose acronym itself reminded me of the Vietnam War, who could remember the difference between Patpong Soi 1 and 2 before it became a touristic night bazaar. Who seemed younger and more energetic than the years I figured he had to be. Always up for a good political argument, if always on the wrong side of history (or so I thought). But as much as I imagined him casually hanging out with James Earl Ray, I sensed he was a good old (white) egg. A dinosaur of sorts, perhaps, but no worse than most. I would have gladly had a beer with him and once asked if he'd be around PTY during one of my debauches (he was upcountry). I was curious what he sounded like in person, whether his voice rasped or wheezed. I figured the jousting on this forum was keeping him alive somehow, I just never knew how much. But I like to think I helped prolong his life, just a little bit. I know I enjoyed it. He will be missed. RIP EPC

One of the sweetest things I saw recently was someone posting on another forum the question of whether, as a 60 year old "monger," he would feel "out of place" in Pattaya. Little does he realize, he will be right at home.

Expat lived near Udon Thaini had a long term partner....and mature Thai child in property investments.
He was highly intelligent and politically very accurate and insightful.
A very nice guy...who didn't suffer fools easily.
Our friend was tolerant and nice to people at times generously.
