Yo,
I know many of you have stories but here is a couple of mine.
My wife will not watch "Dateline NBC" because I made a remark about Ann Curry being very hot for her age (she is!)
she did not speak to me for 3 days because I thought Jessica Alba is attractive, I wouldnt be normal if I didnt  The funny thing about that one was that she flat out asked me "do you think Jessica Alba is hot?" it wasnt like I just blurted it out....
my wife is attractive and I let her know all the time but she can be so insecure at times, is it a thai thing?
I would like to hear fellow BTF members stories.

I was walking down walking street with a BG in toe and I was constantly looking at other TG's walking by, she was not happy, she said I can I have any TG I want, why not go with other TG, I replied "Yes I can go with any TG I want but I chose you", she was happy with this response.
I think TG's get even more Jealous then falang women. Take BG's for instance, if they actually do like you, there are 2 reasons to be upset 1. the normal run of the mill jealousy (possibilty of another woman) plus 2. They'll be upset ubout the possibilty of loosing their meal ticket.
I think most TG's are insecure about themselves, even the really good looking girls who weigh 48kg's complain about being too fat, also they do not like their skin colour as Thai men do not like dark skin and these TG's grow up with this knowledge.
I always tell them most Falang men like Tan skin, and most falang women are jealous of their skin colour and lay on the beach all day trying to get same colour. Have you seen skin whiteners on the shelves in your own country like here in Thailand?
I have a mate who is engaged to a TG and has old photos of past TG's on his computer and on his phone, this TG found these photo's and was not happy and also would not speak to him for a few days.
I've noticed when you with a TG you cannot even look at another TG, so much for the saying "it is OK to look at the menu as long as you go home to eat".

We haved lived in LA now for a year and my wife will finally wear a bikini and put on sun tan lotion when we are at the beach....she has seen how farang women desire dark skin. I also have not seen whitening cream since I moved from Thailand.
Another story similiar to your buddy's:
We were living in bkk and probably had been dating 6 or 7 months and I was invited to go on a cruise to samui.
I gave my wife (then girlfriend) the keys to my apartment to stay for the 4 nights I was gone. her apartment was very noisy.
when I returned, I found that all my pictures of one exgirlfriend had been torn up. She had gone thru them and ripped up about 80 or 90 pics.
The ex was a bitch so I didnt really care but there was some nice pics of us in Paris, Brazil, and Florence that I kept just for fond memories of past vacations.
My wife said that if I didnt love the girl anymore why did I keep them. I had to explain that even though I didnt love the ex anymore I still had memories, and there were some nice nudes ...beside the fact I was about 15 pounds lighter and looked good in the pics LOL!
I know just about all the guys in here have a story or two!

Had one I brought to Japan, accused me of EVERYTHING under the sun, even though I had brought HER here and she was living in my house. She eventually found all the stuff (trophy's, pictures, letters) from all my previous GF and tore them up.
Had to let her go, it was too much.

My regular TBG had to go up country second last night of my last tour. Told me she was going to make sure I didn't butterfly, so she f***ed me senseless before she left,..totally drained me...every known position...took skin off my knees, got sheet burn on my back, almost pulled a stomach muscle... my dick actually hurt... (I didn't bar-up again until next night at NEP, and it took some real effort by a new friend)
When I took her to bus station she says "now you not take lady tonight, you no power, not take lady tomorrow, because I know for sure and I kill you for sure" "Thai woman very jealot".
I believed her too.
Downside for her is now I will expect this roughhouse treatment often...whether it kills me or not.

The picture destruction, letter burning,, and the "power taking" have all been part of my experience with my girlfriend / now wife. Things do settle down after a while ( married 4+ years now).
Things started to settle for me after I began "reverse psycology" type actions,,, e.g,, she askes "you still telephone Thai girl before me ",, answer " no honey I got no time to telephone her I got seven new ones,, 3 in Chaing Mai, 2 in Samui and 2 in BKK ".
Q: " You think that girl pretty ? ",, A: Not as pretty as my 3 Chaing mai girls and the 2 new ones from Vietnam".
It allso helps when you turn things around,, my wife found Beckham attractive,,, so I ring from work,, ask " you alone or is Beckham there for lunch", asked in a joking manner. "We get invite for party this Friday,,, can we go or you got date with Beckham " etc.
It took several months but has been very effective.

Possessive vs. jealous. I believe most TGs are possessive of their "property" and what people many times miss is that 'face' in LOS is a much bigger issue than it first appears.
TGs don't seem to be jealous when another TG has a falang BF. But they become extremely possesive when it appears another TG is starting to show interest in their mealticket, eerrrr man.
If the BF were to bolt in a situation where the TG had to confront family or friends as to why he bolted, this would result in a huge loss of face.
Ever notice that when talking to most TGs that have had a bad relationship/marriage/etc, it was never a result of anything they did wrong. "Him bad man" He have second wife" etc. It is highly unlikely a TG would admit that "I was a wrong" or "I made a mistake to push him away".
Then again, if the first true love of a TG's life, the one who got her cherry (and may have pushed the kiddie button as well) drops her when she is used or pregnant, the world begins to be shaped by their experience; All men are bad.
The odd thing is, these women are sometimes extremely beautiful so many of us falangs would think their self confidence should be soaring. IMO, they realize there are many beautiful women here and the competition is fierce. Every year a younger, prettier, thinner crop is available and possibly the "Use by date" mentality takes it toll.

Whilst my TGF (now wife) exhibits many similar behavior traits as previous farang GFs (and wives!) due to the rat's maze that is Thai logic she often does so for different reasons. FWIW my two cents worth:
1. The silent treatment. A TG does this, not as per standard farang female procedure when feeling aggrieved (3 days silence loss of all matrimonial privileges) but rather just so that you BOTH calm down. Thais would rather ignore an issue to death than drag it into the daylight.
2. Jealousy. When it comes to minor indiscretions, such as "eyeing off" other women, I think that a farang woman often reacts with "how could you?" whilst the TG reacts with "why do you?". Or in other words, the farang women sees this as your failure and something that you need to fix whilst the TG often sees it as her failure and sets about being more attentive to you.
3. Priors. A hundred prior encounters with a hundred nameless BGs is less threatening to your TG than the one BG in a hundred you did twice. A farang women would think you are a not a "real man" since you paid for it so often, the TG will quietly think you are a "real man" because you did it so often and could afford to pay for it!
4. Roles. The farang woman seeks a man to assist her to grow in a mutually supportive partnership whilst respecting her needs as an individual. The farang man seeks a f*** and who will cook for him. A TG will hire a video to learn how to cook farang food and a "porno" to see what he will want in the bedroom and feel it is her job to do both equally well.
5. Major transgressions. The farang woman will get a lawyer and take all your worldly goods in a protracted and ugly divorce settlement. The TG will cut your dick off. Enjoy.

Mel....I use the Beckham line all the time, my wife also thinks Sting is handsome and I throw him in from time to time...wait is there a pattern of rich, handsome, English guys I should be concerned about LOL!
