Guys,
Need some help here!
We have decided it's time to apply for a Fiancé
(Prospective Marriage Partner) visa. I have spent days researching on the net, finally realising we need help. The problem being my TG will have to do a lot of the paperwork herself as I am back in OZ.
For piece of mind and support for her in this task, looks like an agency is the best solution.
Can anyone recommend an agency in Bangkok?
Appreciate any help you guys can give.

You can do all the work here in OZ, just send her a list of docs needed, your agent will provide you the information. I know a migration agent but she is based in the Gold Coast, a stone throw from Surfers'. Anyway she's a Sheila if you know what I mean (as in opinionated, loud and brash) but she's also very professional, efficient and honest as Aussies can be. She ain't cheap though... here a couple of sites for you to research on:
1. Australian Government - Department of Immigration and Citizenship partner visa options both in Australia and abroad.
2. MARA - Migration Agents Registration Authority where you can find registered migration agents.

Cool Dude,, you do NOT need an agent ( waste of money). Its pretty straight forward ( I did one only 5 odd years back).
Basically the people who check the application are wanting to be very sure of three main points....
1) Are you actually you ( proof / birth certificate, passport etc )
2) Is she actually the person named ( House registration / birth certificate etc and of fit character to become an Australian citizen ( Police clearance / check in Thailand) ( well they let Sarge in, so no worries there)
3) Are you truly in an ongoing and substantial relationship.
Point 3) is where you should lay-on the evidence nice and THICK. Lots of copies of photo's of you together with friends/family, little stories attached about trips together to Samui / Chaing mai etc ( make sure the dates corelate with your Thai visa's),,, copies of phone bills and letters showing your continual communication and several Stat dec's from people that have seen you together as a couple.
Most of the running around will need to be done in Thailand getting things "officially"translated into English.
Get her to get a Police clearance early as the boy's in brown like to take a couple of months to do this unless they get a few thousand BAHT ( then its ready in 2 hours
AHHh forgot the "Health check" pretty straight forward, chest x-ray and blood test, several hospitals are licensed to do this.

Sorry forgot one other important point,,, you need to show that you plan to marry,, just telephone a local marriage celebrant and book in for say January next year and get him / her to send you a letter confirming the booking. You can change all that later.

Good information guys and stuff I already researched.
As I mentioned my real concern is having someone in Thailand that can support and check that all her paperwork is correct. If she doesn't understand, that can talk to her in Thai about the process.
I am aware these agencies are not cheap and if I was there would do it myself.

Really mate you need to get over there and be with your Girl in the Person! this way you will have a better chance.
once you apply it will take a Thai working week than there's the Insurance (health)
Lots of photo's at the temples etc Family with children is good, give them as much Paper work as YOU CAN, MAKE sure she has the House Registration from her family.
If you own your home or unit take rate papers, Tax from last year Bank Accounts get as much Paper work as you can, and start planting Kaffa lime lemon grass and HEAPS of Chilli! and asian vegies

Jinjo,, Sydney RT would be great. A few hours sharing some beers with fellow members would be a nice evening. Great opportunity for Sarge and I to see the real person on the other side of the keyboard, 99% chance we'll get along great.
Best we get the suburbs of interested members to cut down on travel times,, i.e make it central for most.
Spare room still here if you need somewhere to crash,,, haven't started the extension yet.

Cool Dude, Just got a 12 month Visa / 3x3monthly Visa for my gf, it will take around 3 weeks for it to cum through.
Provide as much info as you can, btw you dont have to provide a date as to when you are to marry ! I didnt and I applied for a Fiance visa.
Just make sure you provide info that you can support her if she gets sick, your bank balance.

Just a dumb question from me!
Do you have to be 'free & clear' ie: no longer married to start the ball rolling for your TG to get a visa?
Is LT legal separation enough? I think I can meet the other criteria.
