I am always amazed at the absolute f***ing Gall of some Farangs in Thailand who write to the BKK Post about the most stupid shit. However this one takes the prize WTF........

It is very difficult for oversized women to travel in Bangkok because of small taxis and little seats on the skytrain and the subway. You have almost nothing in the stores for oversized women and you never have articles in the Bangkok Post that address our special needs.
Thai women all look undernourished; the way they dress is disgusting, and the cosmetics they use are cheap and tacky.
Please address these issues in your newspaper.

Not necessarily Mr A. There has been some articles in respectable UK newspapers complaining about discrimination against fat people to wit:
- Bus Seats too small
- Aisles too narrow
- Too many 'scare' articles on problems of being fat
- Portrayal in Media of skinny being pretty and fat being ugly
- etc., etc., etc
Even in the US there has been discussion that businesses (such as airlines and restaurants) should not be allowed to discriminate against fat people.
There is arising militant movement of fat people especially in 'tolerant' societies like the EU. I guess they figure if the gays and handicapped can get special consideration so should they...

While I sympathize with the issue of discrimination, particularly against tall people like myself (part of my scalp is still hanging from the textured ceiling of the Swiss Grottino restaurant), I don't think the nature or tone of the letter is about discrimination or minority rights. It is an obvious fake (why complain about make-up worn by Thai women?), and maybe even written by a Thai.

I am aware of their complaints, but I don't get any of that from reading the letter in the Bangkok Post.

It may not be a fake.
Some years back, some women from an organization called ELITE (English Ladies In a Thai Environment) began posting similar letters. They were very anti Thai girl, and mocked them saying that at least they didn't have to buy their bras in the kiddy section, etc. Pathetic.
I couldn't believe this garbage at the time, or that it was published. But they went on for a week or so. Sure wish the Editors of Mad could have replied to those delirious women.
