As I had mentioned I had known her only for 6 months over the internet. Very frankly here are some points which I felt nice about her
1. She has never asked me money during this time.
2. She freely admits to having a European BF.
3. She never asked for any help. I volunteered to help get a job.
4. I never offered her money and if she does she is not getting any.
I know I am a realtively new to the Bangkok scene (just 1 year, compared to most of you expereiced people), but I have read this forum in detail and know how to help about.
Finally if it is a scam it must be a pretty elaborate one where she waits for 6-8 months to tell me she has lost a job and probably another couple before she asks for money.
I would still request you if you know of any openings, do let me know.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, you've got your head screwed on properly and won't be taken for a sucker. You've just clarified some of the questions that I was about to ask about the situation.
It is nice to read about somebody wishing to help somebody else without any ulterior motive, just because they have a compassionate nature.
You'll undoubtedly make allowances for some of the Bros here who have a rather jaded or cynical outlook on life, perhaps because of their own experiences. But everybody deserves an even chance to prove their worth. Your stand on this does you credit as a person.

iamcollyon is, of course, trying to do a good thing, but it all seems a bit curious to me.
If this girl knows Bangkok she will know that cashier jobs are ten-a-penny. Walk around any area infested with bars, hotels etc and you see the signs in the windows all over the place. I've seen two on my soi alone in the last few days. Any genuine job-seeker would know this.
If she's genuine, just tell her to get off her arse and go searching. A day of hunting would do it.
