Laser is a nice solution IF it's suitable for you. It depends on the colour of the hair though, darker = better. My Japanese g/f had (almost) her entire body lasered and the effect was striking. When I enquired about getting my mangy patches of whitish hair that curls in all directions removed, they said the laser just wouldn't get hot with that colour hair and it wouldn't work effectively. I have to say that wax (which I've just had done AGAIN) is the best solution for me anyway. It hurts a bit - especially the chest when it's being done but only for a split-second at a time.

Well I didn't know her "before" only "after". I wanted her to remove the little bit of pussy hair she had (left) when I first met her "all the better to EAT you said the big bad wolf!" lol
Then she told me that she USED TO have quite a lot of hair there (for a Japanese girl anyway) and that she'd had it lasered away to just a decorative patch. She mentioned that while she was at it, she had under her arms and anywhere else that any body hair was lurking. The result anyway was most striking - perfectly smooth hairless skin everywhere. A big change from one of my first (Canadian) girlfriends who had hairy nipples (ugh). When I asked her to remove those hairs as they got caught in my teeth she said "If you don't like it, don't put them in your mouth!". And they wonder why we prefer Asian girls.
I know some Thai girls say they like us with body hair, but I have to think it's a case of saying what they think we want to hear. In a humid place like Thailand (or Japan) people who sweat and have lots of body hair are at a distinct olfactory disadvantage I think, F.

I'm not a doctor but I am a skeptic and a cynic. And I imagine that in 20 years doctors will come out with a study about the need for back hair and how it helps the body dispose of some sort of unhealthy by-product of being alive, and those people that have had lasar hair removal arn't able to get rid of this evil by-product as they should and thus tragic side effects are going to occure.
I also don't believe in god, but evolution makes a lot of sense, so for some reason I have this hair all over my back and some time in the future it will pay dividends. I don't know how, but I do know that its there for a reason.

You're right - it's there for a reason. Mostly, to be the butt of jokes, and to provide a criteria for natural selection - i.e. allow girls to select what they like (or not like).
If we were on the brink of second ice age, you *might* have some evolutionary advantage for your northern genetics induced hairiness - as it stands, the excess hair really only contributes to a bigger amount of personal stink in tropical climates...
