Most employers, agencies, gov't offices, etc. require more than a diploma, they want transcripts too. I now keep several copies of my notarized Uni transcripts available for my clients when they ask.
As for forged licenses I would say forget that too. Recently I was stopped at a roadblock in Detroit (allegedly for a safety check) and I spent 40 minutes whilst they verified that my Singapore DL was valid and I was who I said I was. Apparently phone calls were made. The officer said it was part of the Homeland Security efforts...

My fiance is like one class away from her high school grduation and will be coming to the US soon. Not a bar girl. I advised her to get a HS diploma. She is getting fake one in her Small town. I.e. find a TG to get you one in her home town. Money talks--

Don't know of college degrees, and driver's licenses or press passes.
But it's said that one can get a totally new ID in Cambodia for about 1500 Euros. Of course, it's clear that those who do this are on the criminal side.

This today in the bangkok post, it's a little more hard core than the Kao San road tourist fakes..
Five members of two criminal gangs which forge ID cards have been arrested by Crime Suppression Division (CSD) police.
A man and a woman _ Surachai Pattanacharoenchai, 41, and Niphanphon Sukkham, 46 _ were apprehended yesterday in the parking lot of the Tesco Lotus superstore in Rangsit, Pathum Thani, with 32 stamps for forging ID cards, about 30 pictures of potential clients and 250 copies of domicile registration papers, police said.
The same day, CSD police arrested three women _ Kannika Soithong, 41, Somboon Phromket, 38, and Lawan Samingphrai, 40 _ in the car park in front of Wang Noi district office in Ayutthaya province.
CSD chief Pol Maj-Gen Vinai Thongsong said the gangs had demanded between 80,000-150,000 baht for each fake ID card. He expected some government officials would be also arrested after the questioning of the five suspects.

About a third of all teachers in Thailand are using real TELF certificates and a fake degree for the work visa requirements.
Alot of schools wont check if the job is done right.
However, though a fake degree want mean criminal charges if it for a work visa, and the teaching standards were applied in any case well.
They can instantly black ban you, and give you 14 days to leave Thailand, this seldom happens.
The trick is to apply for bad positions with low pay.
As for other fake stuff, you might get deported after a week in prison and fines.
Fake stuff is risky.
Best pass on it, unless your thinking of teaching in somewhere like Khon kaen...where they are desperate to just get anyone that has a TELF cretificate and wont check.
