I always read Stickman’s weekly column, especially since he started commenting on things other the night life. There are tons of websites catering for that, so is refreshing if someone writes about ordinary Thai life, customs etc.. in a nutshell, what is actually like living and working there. I’ve read the notstickman site and he, John Galt / Keith Summers or whatever name, comes across as a weirdo, whose only “raison de vie” is to denigrate and criticize the original website. There was an article about the deceit of Thai girls who have overseas sponsors; to corroborate his point he told the story about this upcountry lass who he shagged while she was waiting for her sponsor to come to Thailand and marry her. Big deal, this sort of things is quite widespread in Pattaya/BKK/Pukhet, amongst the bar-girls community.
I was wondering if the bloke is Australian, as his actions exhibit many of the Aussie cherished features. Consider the evidence, he betrays the following characteristics:
. Deep envy
. Inferiority complex
. Chip on his shoulder
. Came into being as an aberration of the original
. Without past and no future
. Loud and brash
. Unable to understand or relate to women
. Mouthing off things/people before engaging his (pea-sized) brain
. Narrow mindedness
. Antipathy towards Kiwis
. Uncouth
. Sickening life values
I can visualise him wearing pastel coloured flip flops, visually loud sport singlet, delicate brown patterned combat shorts (3/4 length), giant slider sunnies (covering almost half of his face) and sporting a shocking peacock starched hairstyle. Walking around town centres, upmarket city areas, desperately trying to look cool and convincing himself that he’s the epitome of fashion trend. Addressing all and sundry (with his unintelligible and mangled imitation of the English language) in a loud tone of voice: “g’day mate, how ya going, alright?” …… “ya what mate?” ……. “no worries mate”

From John Galt's site:
"I have decided to take a break from the not-stickman column, because well, you know I need to concentrate on my business  The break is needed....but it is not permanent."
And from Stickman's site:
"I have decided to take a short break from updating this site to concentrate on my day job. The break is needed, but not permanent. Full service will resume soon..."
The net result for Galt is that through his aggression, he's apparently taken Stickman out, but himself as well. Remains to be seen if it a truce or an end to hostilities from Galt's side (doubtful).
In the end, what did Galt accomplish?

Sarge...I think sticky's view of life in Thailand came from his job, cash flow, sex life etc.
Guys that work for our company in Thailand (lucky bastards!) have decent jobs, a good standard of living and a hectic "social" life.
