I think many of us need to walk down Soi 3 to the hospital and get a full check-up before we go crazy in BKK !
A bad heart can kill you with all the excitement of BGs, drinking everyday, viagra etc.
Sorry to hear the Aussie died, another room number in Nana that will have ghosts as far as the BGs are concerned

Well...I'm glad to say it wasn't me...not yet...but of course it could have been and that goes for the rest of you to...
Still if my options were a car wreck or quietly in my sleep an hour after leaving a go-go bar....well you already know my answer.
Baskoy, sorry to hear about your mate. He was an Aussie so he had a lot of mates here, whether he met them or not.
Tell us Mark's favourite bar and some of us will go make a splash there or ring the bell in his memory next time we can. Sounds like he'd have done the same for us.

I've just spoke to his Mum, although she is very upset she was just happy that he went peacefully and was pleased to hear from someone who knew of his last days.She has been overwhelmed by phone calls and emails from all over the world. Mark had many friends from previous jobs and was well respected in his field.
He was in good form before he died as he had just secured a good job in Vietnam and was looking forward to that.

Minder, thanks for that thought and offer. Mark's favourite bar was "Morning Night" so I don't think it would too wise to ring the bell in there!!! But if you're in there give him a few moments.
I'll be out of town till after Christmas but will be having a beer there in his memory on the 5th Jan.
Although Mark was not a memeber here I'm sure if you'd met him socially you would have liked him.

One of my greatest fears is to shuffle off my mortal coil before the fun is over...is it ever over in your own eyes?
Perhaps I could die on the plane back to OZ, or the first day back at work, LOL, when the post LOS blues set in.
Baskoy, I hope your mate went without pain, after an 'enjoyable time', in a cool state of mind, and that the circumstances of his passing were, or appear dignified to all family etc.....this is what I would want for myself.
I'll have a beer for him as well, while recognising my own mortality....just for a minute or so.
