I disagree, but no pissing contest here, to each his own. The Iggy link I posted was made ten years after the original Stooges song anyway...harder to find the older stuff.
There's a local band where I live that does very good Stooges cover, that's all, and only from the early 'The Stooges' and 'Fun House' albums.
The band members are 1990s decade guys. One of them was with Sublime, a popular band in those days. He does the Stooges thing on the side, just for fun, but I admire all their respect of the old school guys.
The lead singer doesn't try to look like Iggy, but he tries to get the personality down, hopping around tables and shit like that (bar owners don't like it) and the lead guitarist is trying to scrape by as a skateboard manufacturer and a full time worker in a real job.
This link's not about the whole band, only a couple of getting near middle aged skateboarders who are in it. One guy remains low key because of record deals or something.
