Bok Hah, Lol, I can't fool my wife either but she's the sweetest and very cool about most things I pull.
Last time I went to BKK I didn't want to tell my family I was going there. They got very suspicious when they called me on my mobile in BKK. I just left it ringing and apparently the call got answered by a Thai operator/answering machine. Damn, I had some explaining to do when I got home.
Btw. Bok Hah the FR section needs your input. For the last 8 days Humble is the only one reporting.

Or you could put the cart before the horse. Arrive in BKK at the appointed hour, let her receive you at the airport, and escort you to the city and all that, be with her for as long as you have promised, and then AFTER this nice loving social visit, you prolong the stay when she thinks you have gone and have your fill.

Here is what I'll bet works ... of course, I have never tried any of these things 
Tell her your plans changed and your boss changed the date you can come to BKK. ÝUp to my boss!
If she happens to not believe you and meet you at the airport, exit out to the right and go immediately up the stairs (2 flights) to the departure level and get a taxi into the city from there. Ý90% chance she won't come to the airport if she thinks you are not coming, and then 90% chance that if she does come, she will not see you. ÝIf she does see you, have a story ready "plans changed at last minute, took original flight, wanted to surprise you, etc."
FYI, in the future, do not tell her your flight info, tell her you fly standby and you will not know until you are on the plane.
Once you are in BKK, visit new haunts or MPs. ÝBuy a different chip for your phone and do not put the original chip in your phone until you are supposed to be in BKK.
If you call her on a regular basis, do not call her while in BKK, tell her you will be working in Afganistan or someplace without phones. ÝEmail should be OK. ÝIf you must call her, you can get at BTcalling card for calling back to the UK. ÝInitiate a call to the 0800 number, then call Thailand. ÝIt will go thru London, the connection will have a slight delay, etc. ÝAll signs that you are overseas.
Your supposed arrival date - either do not give her flight info, or give her a flight that lands in the early evening. ÝThen, in the late morning, change hotels and call her from your regular BKK-chip phone and tell her you caught an earlier flight and have landed early and she can come over.
If at any point, you get busted, you can tell her you arrived early and wanted to surprise her. Just like Sammy Sosa corking his bat, always have a story ready that is halfway believeable!
Any contacts you made during your first few days will be calling you temporary phone number, but that chip is not in your phone anymore.
This is just one set of suggestions that might work.

I think it is true that this forum is not as good as it used to be but I think on finding information or hearing how other brothers handle certain situations this is still a fantastic place.Once again,thanks so much.
