Well here goes, may take some time, started to write this at 20-00 GMT:
We (Me Pete and Martin) land in BKK at 19-00 thai time, feeling a little apprehensive, i`ve been breaking out in a cold sweat most of the journey, on the plane had the blanket over me most of the time, couldn`t sleep. Looking back now it was a fear of the unknown. I wasn`t scared of anything imparticular, it was just the not knowing. Collect our bags and head to the cash exchange, who knows if were getting ripped off, I have no concept of the money nod my head stuff the cash in my pocket and head outside for a taxi.
Bloody hell, the heat hits me as I get out of the airport... wow. After having a gaze round in awe (this is my 1st taste of BKK) I notice the taxi Q. About 100 people, stood there for 10mins soaking up the atmosphere, the Q doesn`t move. In this time i`d noticed a bus service running so went down to investigate. bt100 each to Sukumvit Road, 5 mins she says... 30 mins later and the bus turns up. WOW were having the REAL BKK expirience here, not like the pansies who go by taxi 
Off comes the jumper, instead of cold sweat, its now real sweat.
Arrive on Sukumvit get our bags and off the bus...

I look round for reassurance from the others who just stare on blankly, wondering no doubt how i`m gonig to deal with it...
After a further explaination that we`d just arrived I managed to escape... Phew.
Bloody hell, there gorgeous, I turn round for 1 last look... WOW!
Walking down the road, I see many many beautiful girls, many of which are smiling at me, YES ME!
We head to the hotel at which my friend Pete has stayed at before, but he seems to have forgotten exactly where it is... Half hour later were walking down this, what I thought at the time was a seedy little back street (little did I know!!)
Its here he says, finally I think, finally.
Turns out they have no rooms left - Oh no, what now????
She gives us a card for another hotel, and gets us a taxi, this is going to be a rip off I think to myself... hmmm.
We turn up at a hotel called Prince, a man comes out gets our bags and takes them inside... Bt600 per night.
We get settled in and head out for a bite to eat, Pete, whose been 3 times before says he knows a nice place to eat, its outside and cheap enough. O.k, i`m fine with that. So we walk, and walk, and walk. By this time i`m starving, the last meal was on the plane and it wasn`t that fulfilling.

Do you know the place near Nana where we can eat outside??

O.k then. (Lets just get there i`m starving!!!)
He wasn`t a taxi, he was just a bloke off the street with a pick up, on the way he was trying to get us to go to a massage parlour, whick we were saying NO to several times. We arrive at the restaurant and the guy says he`ll wait for us, trying to get us to the MP again...
Turns out the place he`s taken us to you can`t eat outside anyway
We order anyway, they ask us if we want beer - why not, were on holiday.
Bill comes when we`ve finished, bt2800. (Remember I have no concept of the money yet, more fool me) Turns out the next day we were robbed, but couldn`t work it out at the time. I blame lack of sleep.
Back outside we walk away from the restaurant and the guy who brought us is straight on our case... sh*t.
He`s giving us all the MP stuff, and that Nana will be closed at this time (1-00) He eventually realises he`s lost the case and drops us in Nana bt150 less.
So here we are, hit the top bar, dont recall the name.
Sit down order 3 beers and 3 TG are straight on us. TBH I got the rough end of the stick, and I was a little pissed off cos I didn`t fancy her. (even though it was my 1st bar) A few more beers and were having to move to the balcony cos the bar is closing, I think by this time the BG who is hittin on me has got the message and says shes off home... BYE BYE. Meanwhile Pete and Martin have still got theirs, which makes me feel a little left out...

I dont know the exact time scale, but it was less than 30secs, the BG he was with had snapped her fingers and hey presto, another BG.
She came straight over and started snogging me - Oh my God. I took a sway back to get an overall picture... mmmm, she was nice.
I was now grinning like a cheshire cat
So it was off then, but to where, all the bars had now closed... The BG knew somewhere, of corse! So were waiting for a taxi, one pulls up which me and the 3 BG get into, i`m feeling a little uncomfortable, I dont want to leave my friends... Come on they shout, so all 6 of us end up in a taxi, a concept which doesn`t happen in England... Off to a Disco.
We arrive, in what seems like a dead part of town. not a soul about and jump out of the taxi.
Where are we, what are we doing here???
The taxi pulls off and a steel shop front shutter rolls up. I had a bit of a beer buzz on by now, so I just took it as it came, although reluctant at 1st. We follow a row of candles to some stairs and up we went, opened the door to a smallish room with about 50 thai and farang and banging music with a little bar in the corner.

The atmosphere was electric, and we had a brill time, leaving about 5am, straight back to the hotel.... mmmm, my 1st Thai beauty!! i`d been waiting for this moment for a long time...
Once we`d both showered, it was down to business, I felt like a porn star, every position imaginable, infront of the mirror, the bathroom, the wall, straddling the chair, I ate that much pussy my breath was fishy for 2 days later.
I know it was light when we both went to sleep.... Ah Heaven!!!

Thanks DM, nice report so far. Converting USD <> THB on the fly is easy once you get the hang of it. Maybe try focusing on big numbers. Like rounding off 1000B to $25.
Also, it's starting to sound like your 3-timer friend was about as useless as the 15-timer "pro" I traveled with on my first visit.
So, did you get your first freebie, or did you simply leave out how much you dropped?

I know that feeling. When I returned from BKK I did not visit the forum for about 2 months. Then I thought what the hell, I am atleast better off reading experiences of other ppl. AND THIS DOES IT.
in about 2 weeks after again visiting this forum and reading all those wonderful feild reports I was planning another trip to BKK. I have already made all the arrangements like tickets, hotel room reservation, checking the passport validity etc etc etc.
I have even given a leave application in my office and that too 2 months in advance.
I just love this city specially the NIGHTLIFE and I cannot wait to visit again.
36 days and counting...........

We hadn`t discussed payment, but the mornig after, and some serious loving. We got round to it...
