I've never rated what MacDonald's serve up as higher than wet cardboard, regardless of what they charge in the U.S. or Europe.
Give me the little lady's offerings at the entrance to Nana Entertainment Plaza any night. You can't beat the taste and for 70 or 80 baht it's a pinch.

I know and the price is more relevant to the title of the thread. so, don52552, you have me there.
But my post does raise the issue of quality in relation to price.
Given the choice between paying the price for a Western available commodity and the price of a non-Westerrn or South-East Asian one, I would have to consider quality.
But, point taken.

To get a burger as good as NP you would pay about 3 to 4 dollars in L.A., so a NP burger is a better deal than here
I'd bet McD's prices are the same in LOS & U.S.

I read an article about this that indicated that the iPod index had a serious flaw in that transportation costs and tariffs vary too much from country to country.
In the case of the BigMac most of its components are sourced and assembled locally so it is a better indication of costs across the market place...
