Yeah I agree it is really f***ed up but that in some way speaks to the reason why so many of us live in Thailand or visit here so often. Of course for me it is for the remarkable sexuality of Thai women.
Does BKK have clean air, rule of law, and rights for foreigners?
Add to that safe sidewalks, semi-sane traffic, polite people who cannot walk in a straight line and do not budge one iota as they walk directly into your path? Arrogant vendors selling stuff in your face who are indifferent and who do not know the meaning of the phrase; ‘Mia ow kup” (No thank you) ?
One can only see so many temples, floating markets and so on in Thailand, so that the one driving force that’s keeps us here is the women, is it not? Are there any of you folks out there that come regularly or live here because you love Thai TV, like to inhale the exhaust of millions of motorcycles and buses, breath cigarette smoke in every bar you enter, and walk behind people who have no- where- to -go and all day to get there?
If so please enlighten me! And to ask why it is taboo to take your father to a whorehouse with prostitutes that you have first hand knowledge of every orifice of their bodies is not the American way.
Just ask your priest at the local parish what he thinks; that of course after he is finished with the “Choir Boys”
Seajohn- Try the ‘Living Room’ at the Sheraton Grande for jazz. But by all means keep them away from the sleaze that we all love.

hey...I posted awhile back about this and got "ragged on a bit" but nonetheless it was a great time and we have some great pics...
My Dad rented out the dive bar "Wongs" over off silom soi 1 (nam dupree if I am not mistaken) on like a Thursday night...I understand it isnt the same dive place as before..even worse these days..
anyway...I invited my close friends and their GF's and they did mamasun curry, and a couple other dishes to munch on and we had an open bar..and of course wongs famous VCR tapes of elvis and "top of the pops"...yea a yank likes that show..
total for the night was about $400 back when it was 40baht to the dollar
and all my friends had a blast and I think my mom and dad really appreciated getting to meet all the people I spent my time with especially since their youngest son was so far from home...they got to know all my british friends were raging alcoholics and a good fit for their son 
kidding my dad still asks about all the people he met that night..
so if you have a good "crew" of friends maybe renting out a bbq restaurant or a room at a small bar...that way the folks can meet everyone at once...

Thanks, I appreciate all the ideas here.
I don't know about the Original Poster of this thread but my folks have been to Thailand several times for extended stays of a few months and are aware of the exotic relations and practices between sexes here and, as they didn't fall off a turnip truck outside Goshen yesterday afternoon, have a good idea of my taste for pretty women. How could I ever hope to disguise it, or want to? It's the same taste anyway as my Dad's but he's married 40+ years to my Ma and is pretty philosophical about things by now. So we (all or me and my Dad together) tend to go together to the more relaxed places in my repertoire of locales. We have fun together.
