Several years ago I was walking down to Cowboy. Before the subway underpass was built under Asoke, crossing that road was quite a task.
As I was coming up to the junction, there was quite a dark area, under a billboard I seem to recall.
Out of the shadows a Ladyboy approached, offering the sort of relief I was heading to get in After Skool. While making the offer her/his hands went straight to the front of my pants.
Now I'm not judgmental, but that ain't my thing, nor were any of his/her group of friends. So slapped the hands away & took my life in my hands crossing Asoke.
A very pleasant evening followed, & the deed was done by 5 helpful ladies (real ones).
I'd forgotten all about the previous encounter until I crossed Asoke again. The Lb's were there again. This time the same one approached, no conversation took place, hands straight to my crotch &, you guessed it, into my pocket, then he she was away.
Now I'm no pussy & my first inclination was to right the wrong, but looking into the shadows, he/she was there with another group of Katoey mates.
So, wisdom overtook. I left the LB with the 100 baht & used subway pass that he/she had lifted. I hope it was used well.
After all, my dignity couldn't have dealt with going home & telling my mates that I had been given a good kicking by half a dozen men dressed as women.
So moral is don't carry what you can't afford to lose, including your dignity!

Well done LarryO, no good in fighting these creatures...
Fortunately the LB scene on that strip between Soi 19 and 21 has dissolved mostly... Haven't seen any there for quite some time, nor have I been hassled by any of them on my Sukhumvit late night strolls... Did they improve their behaviour in general? Well, this thread tells a different story...

There are definitely less ladyboys in that area now. Walking from the Grottino to Soi Cowboy on my last trip, I didn't see any. Also for the last year or so, it is a lot more well lit now vs. before.

Mate had a similar experiance walking past the subway steps heading for soi 19 late at night (well early morning really)
The LB put his hand into my mates pocket and on his wallet..
big mistake whist my mate aint tall he is built like a brick outhouse..
He grabbed the LB in a headlock gave a couple of punches to the face and walked him to the police box on Soi 19 and handed him over to a police man there.
