I reckon that anywhere in UK, if you see one girl in a hundred worth turning round to look at twice, you are having a good day, while in LOS you can see at least one in ten girls that good.
As for the money thing, the slide in the value of the £ aginst the baht, combined with local inflation, has made a big difference to someone living on income from UK.

I work in North London, and it is a depressing shithole. I have seen my workplace change from a leafy suburban, quiet village, into what it is now - horrible.
But, I guess you may be right, I probably have come accross as miserable. It is down to being exposed to all the negative factors in London today - I hate my job, but cannot change as the money is good and anything else would not afford me the lifestyle I am able to lead.
I agree parts of London, Herts etc are nice - but walk into a bar at 35, 40 or 50 years of age on your own and forget it. Walk into a bar at any age in BK and the rest is history as they say. For me that is important. I can have fun, relax and be myself - London does not offer that.
With regard to "my lady of the night" - £350 is her charge because of the services offered  - nothing to do with attitude !!!

romeland, good to see you take a step back and htink about things, I think we all understand where you are coming from. I am convinced you have to make th emoney you can wherever you can and try to set yourself up for your later years... then you can become a creepy old sex addict like me.....when the lies of the young tarts make me feel good.... oh yes I am so handsome....
but seriously, one of the biggest things is that when we remove ourselves form the day to day bs and wake up in LOS we become new men, no problems, all fun. And thisis why I cannot stay for long lengths of time in LOS> The place gets the best of me in terms of my vices. Many guys do just fine living there, I don't. I know my weakness, my vices and how the place destroys me.
So I choose to make many trips as year and then out before I go over the edge. That's how I handl eit. It would be a lot less expensive and less time consuming when talking about time in the air, jet lag, etc. if I just went for months at a time, but I drink way too much, don't sleep much, etc. So I choose to go one time every month or two, stay a few weeks then get out. When I am home I reallly don't party or do much, just focus on work.

I have the same thoughts about not being able to permanently settle in LOS, but different reasons, don't think I could give up just the perfect weather alone here along the coast in So. Cal., and really not that expensive to live here being well established
I think it was the London Bridge that was sent to Lake Havasu brick by brick, if only Arnold would be kind enough to send W.S or S.C here to Long Beach chrome pole by chrome I could put an end to those trips to that 3rd world polluted tropical shit hole and those hellish airplane rides, and then there would really be a heaven on earth
