This website is designed to dispprove any seal fakes. It is pretty interesting to look at some of their exposed fakes, and the lengths that they went through to try to claim they were seals. Even some politicians (Imagine that).
I used this site once because I wanted to make certian that this guy who went to school with my sister was in fact the former Seal Officer he claimed to be. This guy was always a top notch guy, but I just wanted to see if the site worked also. After a few days they came back and said he was the real deal. They have all the rosters of every UDT and Seal class going back to the 50's.
Normally if you were a former military guy, you can find some holes in fakers story, especially when you know the real deal.

I beilive Daffy was a Navy Goose and some stage, he was their mascot.
As part of a seal training, they were told to go and f*** that goose again. The number of times he was sticky taped together after a rough session was unbelievable.
'goosey goosey take a gander at this' was the new seals catchcry.

Met an older norwegian man, who claimed having worked for MAC-V-SOG and told crazy stories.
"Eyes...I see eyes in the dark and they haunt me...all the peoples I did."
Couple of good, well - placed questions was enough to tell he was a three-dollar bill.
Mostly those who have a story to tell, it's just that.
If somebody tells himself being a helicopter mechanician or a groundpounder while in country, it's more likely to be true.

I know an Anglo-american girl who is wealthy and has a famous father. She told me about a friend of hers in California. This young man had a drinking problem. He was ex-military. He told her that one day they were put on a C-141 Stalifter and went to some country in South America. Then they went to a village and were ordered to 'hose-down' all the inhabitants, men,women and chidren. They were never told the reason. Secret genocide. He never really recovered from that incident and was invalided out. To become a drunk and a drifter.
This girl I know only keeps company with the most intelligent people so I asume he is pretty bright.
Jack Rabbit - This has echoes of your story about the Norwegian ?
If somebody is bragging they are special forces it is likely they are not or never have been. Either that or the 'Special Forces' they claim to belong to are 'Mickey-Mouse' outfits.
Be careful of some of the Russian 'Businessmen' (mafia) in LOS. I met one particular individual in Phuket with an AK-47 tatooed on his arm. He made 'Arnie' look like a whimp ! Definitely Spetsnaz? (he was in Afghanistan) I think the expression 'Use of deadly force authorised (employed) ' would be particularly apt !

She told You that she had been told by " an ex-military SpecOps guy" who confessed a mass murder ??
Somebody, who had been doing an op like that in reality and does not know how to keep his mouth shut about it would have not lived very long. Accidents do happen, as You know.
I would take the whole story with a ladleful of salt.
A classic "I know somebody, who..." - story.

Knowing the lady concerned I would be surprised if it were just a story and the individual concerned was just fantasising.

So am I but on this occasion I know the lady very well.
It could be true but who knows when one is entering the world of 'smoke and mirrors' ?
