Noticed this thread was temporarily hijacked with the "head" discussion. So before we get too far back on track, I'll drop in my two cents worth, though, in today's economy, it will be worth much less 
When I originally met my TGF, I really loved to stroke her hair and head, sweeping my hands down from the top of her head. I love long hair, to me it's a beautiful black, sensuous waterfall. When I finally asked her if it was okay, based on taboos, she said she liked it because it reminded her of the way her dad used to touch her head when she was little -- very comforting for her. So if she is aware of the significance of the Chakra point, it seems to be overridden by more personal emotions. This seems to support MrJoe's and BAR's assertion about individual beliefs within the spectrum of Thai society.
Digressing further: However, I have noticed a subtle change in her need for propriety, relative to our relationship. She has been out of the bar scene for nearly a year, and we've known each other over a year now. Her behavior suggests she expects me to have educated myself a bit more about how Thai people think and what social boundaries we should observe, mainly in public, but sometimes in private. I think this is for two reasons: 1) her thinking is starting to revert back to non-BG mode; 2) she is beginning to express expectations for how she wants a relationship to be, including dealing with pressure from Thai society, and her own personal belief of what is acceptable, from a societal as well as a Buddhist perspective. This isn't a bad thing, but it indicates a different phase of our relationship is in the offing, and it requires me to be aware of what she is saying, both verbally and non-verbally.
Just some observations -- your mileage may vary.

Boomarang: I don't think you've contradicted me really (or I would have to smite you down with...oh whatever it's too early in the AM to be clever. Not that it gets any easier for me as the day goes on...) and in any case I don't disagree with anything you've said.
I only want to reiterate that I was speaking of the Thai on the street. There is a pretty wide gulf between what is taught in the temples (which I spent 3 straight months learning in and some time since) and what is lived in day to day life.
Balls: Interesting stuff but not really surprising to me at all. I'd say those are developments about which you should be pleased, actually.

My problem with this SOB is not the barebacking & certainly not the porn per se. If he wants to take and display pix of consenting BGs, & pay them accordingly, that's fine by me.
He has a couple of sample video clips - Viet girls, I think, & very probably shot in Cambodia. Both girls look extremely unhappy. At least one of them also looks distinctly underage.
The sight of these kids desperately trying to hold onto some shreds of their dignity while being porked for all the world to see is not my idea of erotica. I'd go so far as to say this is one of the most disturbing things I've seen on the net. You'd need to see the clips to know exactly what I'm talking about. One step up from kiddieporn imho, but then 'Exploited Teens Asia' says it all.
As we all know, working girls in Cambodia are not the same as BGs working the farang market in LOS. Many of them have a very limited (or non-existent) say in what they have to do.
If someone wants to put a bullet through this piece of pigshit, I for one won't be losing any sleep over it. Ý

Mr. J - I didn't think I was contradicting you either but I just wanted to make sure that you knew that it was not my intent up front.
I guess one of the things I should have written to make my intent more clear was to give an example of where I have seen one get into "trouble" in the past.
Walking down the street in Pattaya with my girlfriend and our son one time I saw another Farang walking a bit ahead of us. Walking hand in hand towards him was a little boy and his seemingly younger sister. They were the most adorable little couple one could imagine and the Farang ahead of us pats the little boy on the head in a friendly way.
From about half of a block behind the little pair comes running a furious mother screaming that the Farang had just defiled her little boy. The poor Farang had no idea what she was talking about and not only did he, but many around him, not seeing what happened, instantly assumed the worst. The poor guy didn't know which pant leg to shit in!
My girlfriend got the mother calmed down while I explained to the farang what had happened and to his credit, he didn't blow it off but instead became concerned that he had caused some sort of insult.
I told him to offer the little boy's mother 100 baht to take to her temple to give as an offering which she accepted almost embarrased that she had gone off on him in the first place.
I know this is somewhat of an extreme example but it just goes towards suggesting that in public, be especially careful with those one doesn't know. And, that by observing a few simple rules, one can gain merit with the Thai that one is around.
I know you know all this, and even much more Mr. J but I mainly write it for others who don't know.
Nokna, we've gotta talk dude, you're a loose canon in a china shop! ;)
But still, no one has picked up on my mentioning the "foot" thing. ;) It may be better left for a different thread but this is one Thai custom that can be used to one's advantage EXTREMELY well!
