1.girls who say they are not hookers only to want money just b4 we go to room.i tell 'mai ao karii'.
and they want me to give mate300 baht 4 'taxsii' home.
wasting my time!!
2.not being able to find any 'funky house'clubs in LOS
3.trying to cross the road,only for taxis to slow down.
4.the days when bars are closed for elections. (ruined chiang mai 4 me)

1. well I prefer not to pay for it,though I have in the past. but when I go to rca,make it very clear I dont want a hooker,then get let down,and asked to money for a cab for someone I dont know. and a cab costing 300 baht aswell. where in bkk for that fare?
2. I just like funky house. I miss it from home. clubs in uk ARE better than thailand. far better. im sure all 20/30 somethings from uk/america/italy andnorthern europe who are into the scene would agree. only its easier to score in thaland. the scene in uk is more of a druggie'listen to the music and dance'scene. which I like. im not gonna spend all my 8-12 weeks every year in thailand shaggin. its perhaps 10% of the things to do.
4. the election thing I knew nothing about it. went to chiang mai in late jan,bars closed for 2 days,then went to phuket,and closed there too. I only hope its not every year this thing.
i dont know aloot about thailand. only what ive seen. im new to this site and learned alot already,that im not alone...

not things we hate. Too strong a word.
driving & traffic are 6 points while
multi-tier pricing is 6 as well
touts gets 4
as well as litter/pollution
I was surprised queue jumping (including improper entry of elevators, BTS, & MRT) rated only 2 hits, as it's a personal peeve of most falahng LOS dwellers
Warm Beer got 3 points, & most of us dislike that too, and if you also dislike ice in your beer then you are SOL-Sh!t Outta Luck
Telephone etiquette also only got 2 strikes, but if you work/live here, it would certainly get higher on your list..
Police pulling you over for no reason and being generally useless also got only 2 hits, but again if you live here,,,
someone should start a thread about what we love about LOS,,, but....
isn't that what the whole forum is about ?!?!

thanks for your reply.
1. in farangland almost all of the girls have enough money for drinks and the ride back. many in los don't. it is not always a black and white thing. many girls have jobs, but need some addicional income. many try to play you, you are right about this. but any girl that goes straight back to your hotel the first night is very probably a pro to some extent. some superstars are that well off, that they will go with you for free if you are very "hansum" and "jai dee". but most need money, too. It is a very farang way of thinking, that she loves you only if she does not ask you for money. there are girls who like you / love you, but their families are poor and they need some financial support from their kids in bkk. this is also the moral duty of the kids. on the other hand, there are many girls who see you as a ATM, you have to avoid them. there is alot of info about this in the forum. try to go upcountry with a girl once, this might give you great understanding.
2. I have never missed such crappy scenes while in los, sorry. of course you may like what you want.
4. of course it is a bummer when you are in chiang mai and there is nothing going on. anyways, there is not too much going on in chiang mai in my opinion. I have been once and would not go again. preferred chiang rai by far. come prepared.

1.correct what you say.all girls are different.just didnt expect it in rca.i didnt trust em both.if id met a really nice girl,with a friend.and was trueful,then maybe i'd of paid her cab home.
4.agree with you about chiang mai.i was disspaointed.not much to do.though the trekking in the mountains was a top 3 highlight of my trip.not been to chiang rai yet,i was thinkin bout not going up north next time.how is chiang rai better??

hi rr,
i enjoyed chiang rai alot more than chiang mai. it is smaller. the people are nice and friendly, you really feel like you are upcountry. definitely less people trying to rip you off. about as much p4p as in chiang mai, which is not that much. I stayed there for a few days, there is little to do and see. temples and waterfalls mainly, driving around with your rented motorbike. I just liked the atmosphere and chatting to the locals.

walking along Sukhumvit and knowing that I am surrounded by peoples who hate farangs and think we are idiots and are ALL somehow after your money, begging, selling overpirced crapp or even pickpocketing...

Thai Things I Loathe'
1. Still can't find a bartender certified enough to a make a good Margarita- Strong tequila, contreau and natural
Lime citrus. Have always to stick with Beer Sing and Breezer or go home to mix up a real drink. Screw Mekong and national liquor fakes. Spewy headache stuff.
2. Yea those damm Nokia ring tones make me pissy especially at late night waking me up for yet another sex round....dont BG's know how to change tunes?
3. Overhyped marketing that leads to anticlimax deadend been there done that situations.
4. BG's all about business affairs' baht this baht that - EXTORTIONOUS behaviours that get them packing outta my life never to be barfined from that club/garden again. Doesnt the sisterhood know that we Punter Bro's know better- were not all Japanlike tourist you know.
