Hi guys, Anyone knows how to get a second set-up for UBC in the house? Thinking of receiving it in my bedroom, in addition to the living room... Would a 2nd decoder set be required and how much would that be? Tks

The second point installation price is the same as the first - Bt9,500 (as is the equipment deposit - Bt4000). However the monthly service charge is only about Bt300 instead of Bt1500 on the first point. (I would explain UBC's rationale for this pricing but it is too boring.) Its starts getting interesting when you want to install a 3rd or 4th point!!

There are ways of getting around installing a second UBC point but they are fairly obvious (and not entirely satisfactory). For instance you could get a video sender that will broadcast the channel to your bedroom. Personally I think it is a bargain - TG can watch soap operas in one room and you, the premiership in another. At Bt300/month it is a lot less than one night out. A TV in the bedroom is essential - as is a fridge.... Nong Nat... they look real to me

Remember though, if you move apartment you have two pay moving costs twice (THB 2,700 x 2). You might check if the current promotion (THB 4,500) also applies to second connection (with of course the THB 300 as usual).

I am pretty sure it doesnt Dr.L... BTW if anyone can tell me an easy way to get 4 or 5 points off one connection I would love to know. The current policy of UBC is that you can have only 2 points off one dish. So you end up paying Bt1500/month for the first point, Bt300/month for the second, Bt1500/month for the third, Bt300/month for the 4th etc.. What I want is a way to pay Bt1500 for the 1st unit and then only Bt300/month for additional units.

--------------------------------------------------------------- The current policy of UBC is that you can have only 2 points off one dish. So you end up paying Bt1500/month for the first point, Bt300/month for the second -------------------------------------------------------------- So it would be more attractive for UBC to install a second point. The dish is already there... But that is logic.... but as we know that is hard to find in LOS.....
