I now have a lot of mates that have moved to Thailand.
Will in ten years there will be a lot Thai/farang kids running about?
Will farangs become part of many Thai family units? In ten years there is
bound to be a social/cultural effect on the Thais. The country will change
from being ‘Thai rak Thai’. One only has to look at the effect of a large
Indian/Pakistani population on the UK. They study hard, they work hard,
so many mini-markets, restaurants, employees in finance, IT and the media.
Very different from the 1960’s.
In the years to come will the farang influence be profound or superficial ?
Some might say it has already happened ?
What do you think ?

Some farangs are already part of thai family units..but really the reputation of farangs has to improve a whole lot before thai society accepts it on a serious level.

Superficial. The overall farang population is still dwarfed by other foreigners like Japanese and other misc asian expats. Most farang who can afford to live in Thailand longterm are retirees. The young are only there on vacation or short term work holidays. Plus there's a built in filter where the weak self destruct from excess ensuring that the population never gets very high.

Something that is *very* unlikely to happen, because most farangs in Thailand (and anywhere else for that matter) are un-educated, mindless, self-centered scum with the style of a mentally challenged amoeba.

Which is too bad because I feel that Thailand has much more to offer than just being a big pussy scavenger hunt or a place to drink until your heart gives out. I'll admit I discriminate by going out of my way to avoid most farang or middle easterners I see in Thailand unless they come with personal references from friends of mine. This is something I would never do back in the U.S. because I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. Thailand just tends to attract the worst of the worst from the western world.
What's worse is that it's just not native thais that feel this way a lot of american born thais that I know feel this way too. Believe me these negative impressions of farang sometimes make their way back home to the west.

It most certainly has, but it is being radically and systematically destroyed by the aforementioned human filth. Can you imagine being a “normal” Thai person who by some sequence of events takes a trip to Pattaya or Patpong for the first time. Who can blame him for thinking that all white people are loathsome, sleazy, drunken f***wits?
Even a trip to places portrayed to be paradise, like Koh Samui and Koh Tao might give him the same impression, as it is mainly populated by opium-smoking, dreadlocked backpackers.
We are a race of cultural scavengers with respect for nothing but our own primal instincts.
Thailand just tends to attract the worst of the worst from the western world.
I disagree. The sad fact is that the whole human race is pretty much the worst of the worst. It is no coincidence Darwin made his breakthrough by studying evolution in animals. Not humans.
