Any words of advice at these particular establishment? Last report was dated in 2003. Was wondering if any bro have any new update or recommendation on the Gold Class seat? Planning to come back to BKK next month and would like to experience this... yes, taking TG with me and not flying solo for this experience.
Any ideas on the current price? Do I need to call in advance to reserve a seat? Thanks for the input, bro.

Gold class at Siam Discovery is still 500b per seat. Wise to book ahead, but believe you can only book today for tonight. When I have tried to book for tomorrow they say cannot because they do not have tomorrows schedule......TIT.

Thanks for the info. Is the experience still the same since 2003 or different? How's the crowd? Is the Gold Class Seat fairly booked? Can one request back row Gold Class Seat or not?

HI Letstango,
I have been to the EGV Cinema 3 of the last 4 years, not getting there this last trip I just returned from last week. As comfortable and relaxing as watching a movie in this theater is, I enjoy going there to unwind soon after arriving in LOS, because even though we have many things here in the U.S. that exist in Thailand, we certainly do not have this type of theater with those great fully reclining leather seats (at least we don't here in New York). I was in Siam Discovery a lot this time again, and from passing the box office, I believe the price is still the same. When I was there in the past, it was almost always empty. I have almost never seen Thai people there in couples or alone - mostly only farang guys with their girlfriends, or farang tourist couples. I have only seen the theater maybe 10% - 20% filled at the specific times I went and for the specific movies I saw there, so maybe it varies somewhat, but getting seats never has seemed to be a problem - in the back row, or anywhere else in the theater.

My post was specifically about the Gold Class Theater. I think it is the same as the EGV Cinema, isn't it? In any case, I'm talking about the high end theater in Siam Discovery. Sorry for any mixup of the names.

The Grand EVG has seven theaters, two of the seven are the Gold Class cinemas.
Once at Siam Discovery, the Gold Class cinema box office [separate] is the first one you see, as they are on the lowest level. You buy your ticket then pass through the automatic glass doors- immediatley beside the ticket booth- into the Gold Lounge. The other five are accessed on the level above.
Last time I did Gold Class it was almost full.

I would imagine it depends what time you want to see a film, 9pm on a Saturday night may be full but 2pm on a Monday would probably be empty.
