I have read all the old posts on this topic and am just curious if the laws may have changed. When I spoke with the Thai embassy they said I needed a letter from the head of the police district where I planned on living. For some reason that seemed a little too simple. I have a friend who is supposed to check again for me on Monday but I was curious if any board members may know the laws.
I enjoy shooting and spend at least 2-3 days in the range a week. I could not imagine giving up my shooting hobby once I move to Thailand full-time. Anyone with info I would like to hear back from. I do not need a sermon on why I would want to import a weeapon into Thailand though.

What type of shooting do want to do, ie Trap shooting, pistol range or rifle range. ?

I would get your local association to contact its sister association in Los to find out what is required.

Even better join an Olympic discipline thats recognised in Los, also may help in your effort to import and use your firearm.

Sadly I do believe that a Foreigner isnt permitted to own firearms in Los.

EDIT IN : I do believe that on the outa area of Bangkok there is an Olympic isu trap range.
