Classic lo-so webmonkeys on the BangkokPost website - when I originally linked it was an article about a British chap who jumped off his apartment balcony (a popular means to end your life, it seems) onto an adjoining property, six flights lower, after he was given bad news about having a terminal disease - truly, a tragedy. I guess maintaining consistent links is a lost art with Thai web developers as well (grmbl!)
Some old geezer offing himself because he was rejected by his girlfriend Pim is more comedy than anything else.

Well on the 1st link, the tragedy is that both teams haven’t lost; it’s hard call to say which one I dislike more (if pressed I would say The Reds). It has been explained that it was an incorrect link, so it was a good laff in the end.
On a more serious note, I wouldn’t be so quick in making light of personal tragedy, especially if one does not know the personal circumstances of the Aussie pensioner. For someone to take a life, in a way he did, there must have been other factors that weighted heavily in his mind, and not just the heartbreaking news (for a man of his age) that his girlfriend had deserted him. I’m assuming that nobody was involved in his suicide, i.e. he didn’t get a push out the window, and perhaps the Police will check his bank account and other valuables in the house to see if they’re missing or if money were siphoned out his account, before or after the tragic death. Let’s show a bit of humanity and not jump at quick, facile assumptions.
