Tonight is Chinese New Year Eve....when families get together and have a big meal...the rest of the holiday is about eating too and visiting relatives and generally having a good time....In Hong Kong, tomorrow is the day when the Lai See packets (little red packets containing money) start to be handed out - Handing out money in red packets in Bangkok would surely go down well!!!!!

Sounds like there is a BIG celebration down here in Pattaya on Saturday night with a big parade and a lot of festivities all night long. It started last night with a LOT of fireworks going off ALL night and woke me up every time because my room was right over the street.
