It seems that there is no shortage of customers for these lovely girls and they are kept busy almost everyday. However, what is the timeline on these girls? How long do they/can they stay in the business? Sooner or later, every type of business has burnout, I can't imagine this one being any different. I know most of them are working to not only support themselves but others, which can get them sidetracked, but do most of them have a long term plan? Maybe this is just my westernized way of thinking? Any thoughts?

I suppose things will change when the Thai economy gets to a point where other employment for the girls is a serious alternative. But when you travel outside BKK you will see that we are not in danger of loosing the supply chain for some time yet.

That's a good point, almost all of the "bad" Thai girls I have met have all been from the NorthEast (Issarn) area of Thailand, with a few of them being from the Chiang-Mai area. If all of these beautiful girls are coming from there, why aren't we simply traveling up there and cleaning house? I suppose its more convenient for us if they come down to BKK, Pattaya, Phuket, etc but don't they say "if you don't want a rotten apple, go straight to the orchard"?
Another question, what type of areas are these girls coming from, is it smaller cities with all of the westernized ideas (MTV,McDonalds,Central Dept store, etc) or are they smaller towns (like the ones outside of Phuket that I have seen on the way to Patong, which have a more "small town" feel) or are they outright villages (dirt floors, no telephones, etc)? I just know BKK and always find it hard to communicate to this level of detail with the girls. Thanks

This is what I've been told by many females in the business. Once in always in, unless they get married. Many reasons, but money is the biggest. There is no other industry where they can make the amount of money as well as the speed which they can make it. So once they tasted the money, they tend to stay in. Also, many have drinking, gambling, drug, as well as supporting the family problems. This does not help in any long term planning. I asked one female from Pegasus on whether any one she knew has gotten out of the business on her own. Not by getting married. She unfortunately said NO. Many have plans and goals, but something always seems to keep them in.
Now, I know one female from Mirage, who was their top sideline model. She has gotten out by saving and working two jobs and has opened a small store. So, it can happened. But, the reality is that most will not get out or can't get out.

just to add, seems the majority have had a sister/relation working in the business, huge percentage have been married and or had a child in the up-country village at a young age, 17-20, and then the husband has left, - remember no social benefits here, you take care of yourself, which is why girls understand that their Mother always comes first, then family, then Husband/Boyfriend - as he can come and go, - the family are always there ! I think the majority also come from small villages, we are talking dirt roads, no Hot water or aircon- basic 1 room house, all the children sleep together, often the father absent, over half of Thai families live apart - the father either left, or gone elsewhere for work, a big reason I figure that some young boys are very pampered, and any "Katooey" traits that are there, are brought out ! - usually just a wooden house, with tin roof, average village may have 200-500 people, and 20-60km. bus trip to the nearest city occasionally for supplies. Hence once use'd to the bright lights, and a life of drinking / eating / sleeping / watching TV, and perhaps hanging out with a farang or three, obviously is a much better option than being in charge of some buffaloes or planting rice ! - sadly, many let countless opportunities go by, and suddenly are 30 odd, a stream of fresh, young girls are on the scene, - so unless they can grab a farang quickly, they often end up back in the village - but at least with there activities in bangkok, they have usually managed to upgrade the family home by then, if nothing else ! Because of the background/education - boys may be helped, but generally girls have to leave school at 12/13 in poorer families, and the fact also, that although not evident, Thailand has a very prominent class system, these girlds, no matter how good looking, have no hope of marrying some Thai from a wealthy family, at best they can be a "Mia noi" while their looks last, - so their only real hope of climbing up the financial and perhaps then the social ladder, is to marry a Foreigner. Hope this gives you some ideas, - not that I am any authority, its just that in my travels here, I've experienced most things, and been able to mix with people from all levels ....

Gotta agree with that comment TPE. but money well spent.
But on the age issue, for sure one the best "girls" I have had recently was a 33 year old. I would never have guessed she was that old, still trim and firm and great fun in and out of bed.

agreed plenty in their 30's perform well and are good fun - just a point tho - don't know if you've visited up-country familes often, but it always amazes me, you meet the cute young thing in Bangkok, an if you get to the "meet the parents' stage - mum is almost always very large and very ordinary looking, how do they produce such good sorts ??
