Just read the book, actually listened to it on CD as I was traveling in my car. Could only get the Abrigded version on CD. Well, it was interesting. Anyone else read it, and what are your thoughts? If you didn't read it, please refrain from negative comments. Thanks

Actually, I'd planned on buying the book this weekend. Read a review in the local paper and it sounded interesting. If I'm correct, the protagonist is the offspring of a Thai BG and a farang, and some of the setting revolves around the BKK's underworld and bar scene. Without giving away the plot, is this basically correct califdann? If so, I can't wait to read it.

Yep;
Detective does detecting around Nana, U.S. Embassy, Soi Cowboy, Pattaya etc... I thought... gee, I've been there, and there, and there! Some insight as to the thinking of Buddists... (at least it appears so). I thought the book was worth reading.
