I'd like to catch a Carabao show next week when I'm in for a few days. they are playing Tuesday at a place called Kruasuanluang and Thursday at Rao-Sena. Any idea where either of these places is located? I'd hate to spend my evening in a cab with a lost driver.

Krua Suan Luang is on Pattanakarn. Must be easy to find for a taxi driver.
If I remember well next to the Siam Commercial Bank. Opposite the other Carabao place (forgot the name).

Yes, it was answered on Nanaplaza. I also posted it on allexpert.com where a supposed Bangkok resident gave me an answer in the totally opposite direction.
Of course, the risk in posting a question anywhere on the web is that there is always some pontificating yo-yo that would rather comment on the question than offer a helpful answer.

In a way LY is right....
The band is called Carabao
The band leader is Ad Carabao
It is usual in Thailand that members of a band take a nickname corresponding to the band they play in (obviously for promotional use).
Like Joey Bazoo is not Bazoo but a member of Bazoo... get it, got it....

Yes, he calls himself Ad Carabao, but that is not his real name. As Dr L points out, sometimes band members will assume the band's name as their surname, almost like having two Cheu Len (nicnames)
His real name is YeunYonge Oepagoon

sorry, it's almost entirely in Thai, but the 1st name with the 01. next to it is Ad's, his real name & his taken name
there are a lot of other clues that Carabao means Buffalo as well, for instance they have an album title Hoowa Jai Yung Ruk Kwai Yoo (The Heart Still Loves the Buffalo)
and didn't you notice all the Buffalo horns in the places where these guys play ?? 
even in their hometown Soopunburi and nearby Gahnjanaburi, there are Buffalo horns draped in about 30% of the restaurants
Carabao are like the Motorhead or Rolling Stones of Thailand, and their fans are like a bunch of wannabe Hell's Angels
you should see the fights that break out at their concerts
BTW, I love most of their tunes, especially off of Racha Sahm Cha (king of the 3-step dance)
and what does all this have to do with Teaching English ?
I was just teaching you guys a little about Carabao  , but it started as a reference to Malay/Tagalog
