I will be arriving into BKK near midnight and will be staying at the Dynasty hotel. How long will it take me to get my luggage, go through customs and get to hotel? I used to be a cross country runner and am prepared to muster up strength in this 34 year old body to make it happen. Anyway, after a dreaded 29 hours in the air and layovers, I much rather be squeaky clean before going anywhere. So deduct another 3o minutes off. Worst case scenario would be 2-3am before I go a prowling. What do you guys recommend? Hell, I'd go for sloppy seconds. Only got 12 days and want to make every minute count. I can sleep when I am dead.

I arrive at that time, and I'm in the bars by 1 AM. I just change T-shirt and shirt, and brush at the hotel, and defer showering until my TBD girl can join me.

If you hurry, you can beat a lot of people to the customs line, don't forget your little card that you filled out on the plane (I got so excited one time I forgot it, which was really embarrassing) I don't think it would take you any longer than 30 minutes to get through customs and have your suitcase in hand. Probably want to get some money exchanged too while you're at the airport. Taxi ride to Sukhumvit should run you around 1/2 hour or so. I'm guessing you'll probably be checked in a little after 1am. Take a quick shower and unpack a little and you should be good to go. Take a short walk outside your hotel and make your way over to Nana parking lot just in time to pick up the huge mass of girls collecting there around 2am.

just use your searh function and type in the keywords 'taxi airport Sukhumvit' and you will find the answer to your taxi question. NEP closing times, sh*t... who knows, they're changing their minds every 5 minutes. But the parking lot outside will be crawling with the ladies I'm sure.

I always try and get my seat on the left side of the plane as close to the door as I can. I usally fly United and they don't park at the gate, they bus you over. They let you off at immagration. Usally takes about 35 minutes till I'm in a cab. Tell the cabbie to take the toll way. When you get to the hotel don't bother to get a shower. Wait till you hook up with a girl and then get your shower.

Or, you could do what I did on my first night in Bangkok - be tired and worn out when you hit the hotel, shower, sit for a while, then at 2:30am call up the hotel reception desk (I was at the Manhatten), and have them send up a massage girl.
Their massage closes at 2am. But after hours, they'll call up an outside place for you. 15 minutes later, one girl. Cute, too.
Of course, I'm still not sure if she'd intended it as p4p - the way it worked out, it seemed like I was only paying for the massage.
Never did see her again. Need to remedy that when I get back.

I paid the 1000 baht and got the limo xfer into BKK last time, because I was in the same situaiton, and the queue for taxis was huge. Details and the exact price are in my trip report. (third trip, day one).
Also, last time (Feb) was also had to show the boarding card stub when going through immigration to enter into Thailand. Never had thet before into any country, and it was through luck rather than judgement that I still had mine. No idea what they would have done if I did not have it, but making sure you have it will save some time..

occasionally they ask for Boarding Stub.. If you don't have it, they just ask what flight you were on. It's On the immigration card.????
Yes.. U should (depending on Immigration and baggage handlers) be at Dynasty by 1amish. Don't deal with Taxi lines. There are plenty of the other taxis that will be faster and 300 baht more.
If you are traveling light, U may want to escape the taxi at grace hotel or near and walk straight acroos to Dynasty. This can save 10-15mins sometmes depending on the traffic at nana-Suk intersection!
