I would ideally like to have one carry on suitcase (22') and one carry on backpack. I rather not pack a full suitcase if I can avoid it. Has anyone had their luggage lost or delayed by the airlines? But I don't want to walk around BKK in my birthday suit or wear dirty clothes. How is the laundry service in BKK and Pattaya? I also like to frequent high end dance clubs and feel like I should dress for the occasion while attending these clubs. You know, to get the chicks! And are TGs turned off by cologne and/or aftershave?

Luggage Lost??? The more you travel the more change it will happen to you. I have been tracing bags all over the world and it is an interesting business. Normally you can expect to receive your bags, after being lost, within 48 hours. After 5 days lost (does not happen much), they might not join you at your holiday destination but they might be returned within the next month to your home address. Just label your bags on the inside for further identification.
If lost travelling to BKK.....this is your change to indulge in the great shopping this city has to offer. From cheap clothing at Pratunam market to the grreat shops in Gaysorn Plaza or at the Emporium, to name a few.
Dress for high end clubs the same as you should do at home. High end in Europe or the US is also high end in BKK. Why dress down when in Thailand?
The love good smelling people. In general Thai are put of by smelly Farangs.... and there are plenty of them.

Laundry service is fine. One or two day service. During the hot season I change shirts two or three times a day and get the same amount of showers. BG do not like smelly falong.

This coming trip I am trying to only bring one carry-on. Laundry, outside of the big hotels, is cheap. Usually I bring one carry-on and one checked bag roughly the same size as the carry-on. Last time I flew, they would not let this girl on the plane with 2 carry-ons. They finally stowed her other one below, making us late, making me miss my connection in HK.
I am with Big D, 2 or 3 shirts a day.

Let me just put it this way: I travel to BKK with a GYM-BAG containing my laptop, a couple of changes of underwear and socks, and 1-2 shirts. I buy the rest when I'm there, as I get around to it.
Travel light, though you will need a suitcase going back, for all the crap you will have bought.
Oh yeah, be sure to bring US made condoms.
