I even go as far as taking some baht home with me from the previous trip so when I hit the ground in BKK I don't even have to slow down to exchange currency or pull baht from an ATM. Straight to the cab at a run.

Yes you do. Because the driver has to pay the cops 50 baht to wait there. He will charge you a set fare. Otherwise he will be out of pocket. Best option is still to join the queue if its not very long.

I think I need too make a few explanations here, don’t you? 555
1. Say no thank you, to everybody trying to sell you something at the airport, like trips to your hotel.
What I meant here is that you shouldn’t get involved with anybody offering you taxi/limousine at the airport inside/outside, they are overpriced, the best way is to take a taxi from the Taxi rank outside, you will have to pay an airport taxi fee but you have better control.
2. Go on the outside and get a yellow cab, if you can; get one that is not in line yet, maybe if a long queue you get a better price.
Maybe not such a good idea, I have the same taxi driver too pick me up, use the number 1 option!
3. Ask him to drive you too MBK. Go inside, buy a Thai SIM card like: one 2 call.
Ok, so what’s this with a new SIM card, well first off all, you may suddenly make a lot of domestic calls and SMS messaging, then is it cheaper to use a Thai SIM then your own. The best part is that you don’t give away your, mobile number and getting calls when coming back from Thailand.

New business cards with a new name? WTF? If you give away your card after a few beers, you really can get trouble, what would you say if you came home from work one day and your wife starts asking you, who is this; Joy, Pond, Malee and so on. Some of these Thai girls are really hard working and showing up at your hotel and more, happened a few times, you get a call from the reception: a girl is here too see you!

Not sure about the 50 baht - maybe for the ones that are parked there. I've seen the taxi get hit up for 20 baht. Sometimes it happens sometimes not. Depends if the cops are close by and how quick it all happens. One day, a taxi I jumped in at departures was hit up twice for 20 baht note....Just a knock on the windscreen and the taxi guy knew what he was after....I gave that guy a tip - greedy cops. Never been asked by a taxi driver for any additional money. I just wait for a taxi to drop off and then tell them where I want to go and with an "OK" I jump in.
The queue at arrivals can be non-existent to a mile long and going so sloooow.....
