If you have ever been to Pattaya you would know what I mean. Open air bars with many girls and cold beer! Simular to soi 7& 8 in Pattaya.

Finchy, I know the name I use is shit, I was pissed when I registered.
I mention Soi33 as I read posts about it being a little expensive. I have never been so wouldn't no what it's like.. I have used the search engine but didn't get the answer I was looking for.

Some bars on Soi 33 are not that expensive, The Office Bar does cheap draught lager all night. It only starts to get expensive when you decide to bar fine a girl---but there are ways and means to get around that.

For the record, these are (officially) not beer bars. Although they have an outside area, the main area is confined to a building with doors.
Examples of beer bars can be found on Asoke, Suk 1, Soi Zero.

I fail to see what is official about that.
Imho a "beer bar" or "bar beer" is a public venue selling beverages, has prostitutes hanging around for take out mostly by paying a barfine to barowner plus paying the prostitute ST or LT service fee.
In case such a venue would mainly be open air, why not simply refer to it as an "open air beer bar"?
I see no relevant difference at all as to the main objective of patronizing punters whether the darn place is in a building with doors or in open air.
Bars with BG and rooms seem to be called "short time bars". However not all bars in building with doors have rooms.
Bars with BG and pooltables seem to be called "poolbars". However not every bar in a building with doors has pool tables.
Bars with upmarket BG and prices seem to be called "hostess bars" or "gentlemen's club". However not every bar in a building with doors is upmarket.
What other than simply "beer bar" would be an appropriate name for a bar: in a building with doors, without short time rooms, without pool tables and with non-upmarket BG ?
