didn't really know where to post this.
My question is, if the immigration office in Pattaya can also do an extention for a week if one entered the country without visa, or if this has to be done in Bangkok. Also, how long would that take there.
Hope somebody knows and thanks for the help.

Yes, you can do that in Pattaya too. You get 10 days (1900 baht).

The 1900 baht visa extension fee gets one thirty days extra.

He does not have a visa to extend, if I read his post correctly.
If he only has an entrance visa he will have to pay for overstay or make a visa run for a new 30 day entrance visa.
I have received the 30 day extension with a tourist visa at B1900, plus photo copy of passport and visa, and reason for extension. Always made a visa run for a new 30 days on an entrance visa. Also have paid overstay at airport.
Hope I am wrong and he can get the extension.

For the price of an extenstion he could make a quick trip to Cambodia and get another 30 days.
If he wanted to stay for a couple of days there are some cute girls in Cambodia.
