And make sure you reserve hotel rooms from the NON-GUEST FRIENDLY listings....in any city. I followed that rule when I brought wife#2 to Thailand for holiday.

- Certainly would put chiang mai on top of the list, plenty to see, lot of factories making gems/artifacts etc to check out, and of course doi suthep, as to the beach, definate RED CARD pattaya, I'd go with ChaAm, Methavali a nice, beach front Hotel there .
