Not so much a weather and girls question, but on the theme of timing still.
I was in BKK either side of Songkran, and was thinking about returning the same time next year - although this time being there for the Thai new year. The down side of that, so I gather, is that some of the bars close.
So if not Songkran is there a "best time" to be there? I'm thinking of western new year or that kind of thing. Halloween, Labor Day? Ok, so maybe I'm trying to justify bring the next trip forward, but are there seasonal highlights that one should sample?

It don't take a weatherman to know which way the wind blows, (thanks Bob!), when it comes to BG's in BKK. It's ALWAYS raining babes. Dress for the weather however. Bring a big smile, wear a thousand baht note in your pocket and you'll find no shortage of young willing hotties to be you fiance', wife and ex all in one hr.. What dates you there, maybe we'll hang out?
By the by- tossing big words around like "genuflect" around could confuse and piss off some of the brothers. They usually think your talking dirty or something. Sticking with the one and two syllables is the way to go here.

I am landing at BKK on 1 June, and will be around in Bangkok for a few days prior to heading up country and to Laos etc... Having been to Bangkok 3 times in the last 2 years, I fully expect not much change except maybe a little more rain, and a little higher temp in the day. P4P should be the same. Am I missing anything?

It seems that the Farrang tourists are down so more girls available, better price negotiation. Except for Pattiya which has the US Navy in at the moment.

Wow! Thanks for the outpouring of responses. I just got back from a little local place. There is a sweet TG working in there that I am chatting up, while trying the cuisine.
