Hey brother Big JH welcome to the brotherhood. If you already know the places that you want to visit and all you want is a lady to accompany you and dine with you afterward then you shouldn't have any trouble finding someone to spend time with. However if what you're looking for is someone who can actually take you to, and has knowledge of, the places you want to see then I wouldn't recommend taking a lady from a bar or MP.
It's been discussed before and I agree that the ladies from the bars don't make the best tour guides. It was very surprising to me to learn how very little most of these ladies really know about their own country and culture. If you were to ask a majority of the ladies working in any bar if they have ever been to the Grand Palace most will answer no and that's a free tour for Thais.
If you're serious about visiting some of the sights in LOS and want someone who might actually be able to explain a little about what it is you're seeing then unfortunately your easiest bet is to go with an escort agency. Most agencies have at least a couple people that at least know where the places you want to see are located. It's bad enough trying to tell a taxi driver where you want to go and getting that confused look without getting the same look from the lady sitting next to you  . Something to think about. Peace
